That means that if you don't want to kill the little girls, you would have to play the whole game with no powers and rely on just guns and such. They are really forcing you to become an animal now.

And also... not having Adam doesn't stop you from using Plasmids, you just can't have as many active and you can't upgrade the amount of Eve (ammo for Plasmids per se). But still, we don't know what this reward is that the scientist (Ten-ton-bottom) is telling us that you'd get if you play this way.

You get less if you spare them but Tenenbaum will "repay you somehow" one of the many mysteries the devs have kept safe.

You can get Adam from LS by either harvesting OR saving.

Anyway, we won't know what Tennenbaum gives you untill we play the game, but there is a thread entitled something like "What is the reward?" that has ideas in it.

BUT, you do still get some Adam if you rescue the LSs.

There is a huge consequence for almost any way you play the game. You can't be rewarded the same way when doing two different methods, there'd be no point in a second if you get the same thing.

Im probably going to play through the first time saving the lil sisters, then a second playthrough decimating and harvesting them...which will probably make me feel strange. It isnt that often you kill a child character in a game (excusing Silent Hill 1, since those children look nothing close or sound nothing like a child).

A quintessential part of the Bioshock experience, and not just part of the last 10-15 minutes of the climax. Dammit I so wanted to play the UNATCO teacher's pet for the whole game. I wanted in on the conspiracy :mad:

Makes me wonder how and at what points can we negate our opportunity to reach one of the endings. There's got to be some sort of major decision or decisions(plural) partway in that screw us over, cuz I can't see Irrational giving us a deathbed reversal opportunity near the end. It's a conundrum.

My guess is that for every LS that you save you get a reward from Tennebaum, most likely a special plasmid per sister/# sisters saved, or some special ability linked to EVE or plasmids in general.

You might also receive the amount of ADAM you would have done earlier had you harvested the LS in a lump sum - this wouldn't be interesting enough though, so its an outside possibility.

I doubt that the reward would be big daddies lumbering around with you, or any kind of "help" like that. Seems too cheesy and moronic.

They are the primary soruce because the harvest it from the dead. Thats a big aspect of the game is the choice of what to do with the little sister. Kill it and get more powers or save them and have them harvest for you.

Go look at just about any interview again. As v.dog said, you either harvest them for lots of adam, or save them (no idea where they go, yet) and no longer interact with the one you saved. That's the whole point of a moral conflict; giving one side a clear and distinct benefit over the other would make it a choice of practicality, not morality. You have the garuntee of more adam on one side, and the promise (garuntee, unless Irrational wants to piss off a *lot* of people) of a reward on the other.

With Adam being in such short supply, and the small animals that produced them being extinct, one would think that someone would get greedy and try and restrict the Adam supply so the other side doesn't get to it. With the number of splicers running around, simple tactics would dictate that a large enough group of them would be more than enough to overpower a single BD to get to the LS. To my thinking, this would mean that there has to be some place to store the Adam.

Dr. Tenenbaum seems to want them all alive for some reason. It does not make sense to me that she would feel this way if there was not a way she could safely extract the Adam from them somehow. I'm thinking once she has extracted the Adam, she or someone else on her team distributes it to players on their team. Or she puts into storage for use at a later date. Emergencies, experiments, etc. I'm trying not to limit my thinking to a tank, vials, or storage jars. It may even be inside a Big Sister or some other humanoid.

Atlas wants them dead, but up til now there hasn't been anyone strong enough to collect all their Adam due to the BDs. This leaves open the possibility that of all the Adam left in Rapture, one single person could hold all of it without dying.

Forgive the rambling above let me get to my point/question readily. If the LS could collect all of the Adam without storing it somewhere, what is stopping them from taking over Rapture? If they do store it somewhere; where is it, and most importantly, how many peeps are guarding it. :D

With all the messages from the staff about resources being in short supply I know this theory may be counter to all of that. But to my mind this would make a lot of sense. What do you think?

Ok, good question, I don't have all of the answers.

Splicers are completely insane. I doubt enough of them could form a group to take down a BD without a... LEEEEROOOYYYY JEEEEEEEENNNKIIINNSSS!!!

I think Tennenbaum engineared the LS so that they can not absorb Adam. So that explains why the LS can't take over Rapture.

Where does all this Adam go? Well, it seems that harvesting the Adam from the LS kills them. So why are the LS around, if they can't serve a purpose without being killed? I think that somebody is up to no good... ;)

Now watch as Ken Levine erases my post! :p

The LS get the adam from the blood of the dead, hence their crazy heart needle...the adam is "dead" and so the LS recycle the adam in their own bodies(thanks to mister the creepy slug!)

Also, the Splicers are FAARRR too crazy and insane to say hey guys, lets stop trying to get out super addictive drug fix, lets make a plan and group up!...naa, the druggies want their drug. Now. no time from grouping up and planning!

And Tenenbaum wants to save the LS...she wants them to become little girls again...she doesnt care for plasmids and power(thats Atlas, he wants you super beefed up!)

And the LS dont use adam, they dont drink the blood and then become super powerful...i see them as walking jars of power, they cant use it, only carry it...hope it helps:D
