Do many people play this game on Xbox LIVE?

I recent;y downloaded the demo for Civilization Revolution on Xbox 360 and I thought it was great, I might end up bying it but I'm really looking forward to the multiplayer, the thing is, do many people play the game on LIVE? It would sorta be a waste of money buying the game and not being able to play on LIVE.:p

Alot of people will obviously play it since it's new. I don't know how many people will play it on XBL. It depends on how well CivRev has been selling.

Well, I can't answer your question entirely, as I have Rev on the PS3 for one, but seeing as you only need 1 player minimum and up to four to start a game, and how this game apparently is selling out in lots of places, it shouldn't be a really big issue finding people online for a while I'd think.

loads play on XBL i never have to wait more than 2 or 3 minutes to get a game going through the day from 10am till 11pm

Civ Rev has been selling VERY good in my city.....every store exept A little gamestop far away from many people had it and there was A LINE right when i got there......I got the LAST one!!!! then the guy behind me was swearing and he got asked to leave :D :D :p :cool:

Three of my friends and myself all got it. None of us had played a Civ before and we love it. We'll all be online.

Awesome, I too have never played a Civ game before. They seem like good games from what i've seen in the demo.

I played my first game in multiplayer last night for the 360 and it was cool.
We started out with 4 people but 2 quit part way into the match.

The other gentleman and myself fought on till the end against 3 comp players and I luckily emerged witha cultrual victory... I am undefeated 1-0...whoo hoo!!!..lol

I think Ill be playing a lot more MP on this game that I am absolutely hooked on. Its pissing off a few of my friends who want me to go play battlefield:bad company with them (dont get me wrong, BF:BC is a great game....but CivRev is insanely addictive).

Yeah, I got the game yesterday also and played online, was pretty sweet. The thing is I live in Australia and have a hard time connecting with Americans so I couldnt find many games. Oh and Master, I'll add you later on for a game! :D

Well i know that i will definatly be playing multiplayer soon as the game arrives in the mail. Would just go out and buy it but all 7 gamestops within 40 miles are all out of stock!

I haven't had any trouble getting into games on Xbox Live. It must only be the Playstation people complaining about it. It does seem that the typical Xbox gamer is... well, less than prepared for Civilization. I'm winning every game by getting tanks while my competition is sitting around with Archers/Legions. Hopefully people will learn how to play. I'd offer them help but they quit too soon after lossing.

I do have to do the first game disconnect though for games to come up. Thats where you just go to find a game, sign out, sign back in, and try again. After the first-game-disconnect I find a game in less than a minute. Thats ranked games, I never find player games and I think thats for several reasons.

1) Everyone in player games tries to be slick and give themselves 40% handicap.
2) You have to pick turn timer speed, there are 4 options. That means people looking for games have to look through 4 different lists.
3) Rank doesn't really mean anything. This is civilization, not some FPS where you grow ranks and unlock things. It doesn't even show your record when you join a game. So why not play ranked games when its easier to find a match? You also can't be kicked out by a sore lossing host in ranked games.

This is exactly why I stopped playing Player Matches unless it was with friends that I know.
