I would say the host kicked you, for valid, or invalid reasons. Stats ***** maybe? saw you were going to win? I would say ask 2k about a fix for already in-game progress from getting kicked, but unlikely to get a fix for it.

4 other players? wow!

On a serious note, That sounds like it was a player match, rather than a ranked one, and you should consider yourself to have the win. If people are sore losers they should just learn to play better.

hey there,

this isn't actually a rule set by us or the game, it's a gamespy thing. i do believe it only takes 1 vote to kick you, and i'm sorry it happened. count it as a win for yourself.

Seriously? Well, that just destroyed any desire I had to play online. No doubt people are going to abuse that hard, if it's true.

I suppose I'll have to just stick to playing with friends.

i will double check tomorrow, but i don't believe this happens in ranked matching. someone please let me know if that's not the case!

Well, that at least helps some then if it can't be abused in ranked matches, although it still is a bit disheartening that I won't be able to comfortably play with others "just for fun."

Either way, thanks for the swift reply and continuous help and support :) .

yeah, that's always a bummer against strangers. that's why i always endorse, ranked or unranked, to be a good sport. even if you know in the next 20 turns you are going to lose, stick it out! you might learn something.

In ranked is impossible to cheat/ kick one out, because think about if one start from the first turn to kick his enemies, he will win very easy. I think you are only able to kick in friendly games, but i think if you play with friends they won't kick you, only be careful from the person that is against you

Tks everybody for the replies...
So can you explain what is the difference between Ranked and Unraked games?
I never play the unranked because when you get in the room you need to wait until all 4 players get in the game, and sometimes, ppl get in and get bored waiting and then get out, before the game start, and you can not invite anyone, I think it's hard to get everybody to play a ranked game (I don't know if it's because I'm in Australia, and I can only play when I get back from the office it's a huge time zone from Europe and US, probably is still morning in this countries), but I would like to understand what is the difference. I think I may post a new thread about that.

Tks

Yes you are right, if you spend 2 hours playing at least keep in to the game until it is finished. I was playing yesterday I lost by domination and I keep in the game trying to survive, and learning technics how to defend my city and how to manage your resources, under attack, but the most important thing is not to give up, because I know how frustrating is when you are about to win I a lot of msg pop up in your screen with "John left the game". I think Should have some kind of rule to avoid this kind of behaviour.

I'd assume that it's the same in this game as any other- that ranked goes to your points or win/loss ratio, while unranked doesn't count for anything on your official record.

Ranked are in a ladder, and you can't invite friends and you can't be kicked. In unraked you can invite, find players, kick who you want, and no ladders
