Here's a place where Railroads! fans can discuss the game. Could a moderator please sticky this? And can you please merge all my Railroads! topics into this one? Thanks!

Might we get a new patch or new content? I thought Firaxis said that Railroads! still had potential. I'm sorry if I'm being rude or nosy. Railroads! and Civilization are my favorite francises,Firaxis is my favorite developer and if Firaxis has time, I'd love more content! Please. Also, the box mentioned a "Superpowerful 4-6-6-4 Challenger. There wasn't one in the game. Was that a typo? I appologize if I offended anyone at Firaxis or 2K or was rude. Thank you!

I've been thinking the same stuff myself. I'm not really one for Civilization, I mean, I have nothing against the series, but it's just not my thing. Railroad Tycoon is more my thing. Now, granted, some of the guys who worked on the game have left, and the people still there have been bus with the Civilization games, and really, they seemed to have been so busy they haven't seemed to have given us the time of day lately.

Also, us RRT fans are accustomed to the franchise being left for long period of time(3 years b/t RRT and RRTDX, 5 from there to RRT2, and not to mention the long wait between RRT3's updates). Also, if you notice, the game also said "scenario editor and map support" and the editior was added later with the 1.1 release. So maybe they intended to put the challenger in the game at some point, just like the deal with the 242 A1.

I do hope they will have more content for the game, and I have told them so numerous times in the Firaxis's site's "Game Feedback" section.
The game got mostly above average reviews, which must account for something. And Sid Meier hasn't left his company like he did Microprose, and Firaxis still owns Railroads! so all we can do is just wait...

If I had to guess, Jayo, I'd say that you and I are the last fans of Railroads! on here!

Try Hooked Gamers, look for "Hooked on Railroads!" It's got plenty of maps and trains, including a transcontinental USA map. For trains, there's a GP7, an ES44AC, and various rolling stock and repaints of the original stuff. If you're a model railroader like me and need tenders, there's a mod for those too however, in my opinion Firaxis needs to offically redo those so all of them will repaint along with their locomotives. The American has a red tender behind a green loco. Please fix this 2K!
