The IGN preview (DS) for the game made it sound like there was no right of passage in Civ Rev, that you couldn't grant someone you had boxed in the right to pass over your territory. Is this true?

Edit: I have no idea why I wrote "rite" of passage in the subject line. Opps.

if you declare war with an ally on someone else, does this give them (your ally) rite of passage? I'm sure that happened in one of my games.

*rite of passage is correct, I had mis -spelt rite, right.

So if you teamed up with someone, but needed to pass over there territory, you'd have to be at war, but it wouldn't affect anything else? What about trade?

Your troops will remove the workers from the tiles they are passing through.

If you are referring to the concept similar to Civ4's open borders, then no, that concept does NOT exist in Civ Rev. Think of the days of Civ1 and Civ2 in that aspect. Although, if you are at peace, you cannot enter a rival's cultural borders unless you declare war.
