Someone (I think it was Mari) posted a website that Bioshock was possibly partially based on. It was something with case file photos of soldiers who had been disfigured in the war and some doctor was repairing them...
I think it was called Project something..
If anyone knows what I'm talking about could you please tell me what it's called or point me towards the thread about it.
Thanks.

Ok. I managed to find it. Whew. Wasn't easy, but I did it.
It's called Project Facade (http://www.projectfacade.com/)

Didn't hear about that one but I know that Bioshock is the "spiritual successor" of: System Shock 2 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/System_Shock_2)!

In BioshockFreak's original thread I think she mentioned that she heard in an interview that Project Facade influenced the development of the game. Probably in terms of how the splicers looks and so forth. As once you look at their pictures you can see a definite resemblance between those poor people and a lot of the splicers.
It is a really interesting website. I'm glad she posted it and that I was able to find it again!

Yes, the animators mentioned that website in an interview on the making of DVD. They said they took some inspiration and ideas from it...and indeed, you can see resemblances.
