Obviously the first plasmid you receive is electrobolt, but what about after that? Do you choose which plasmids to buy, ala Ratchet & Clank? Or are they received in order?

You definatly choose which plasmids to use, because of the gene bank.
I believe that you have the option to buy different plasmids through the gatherer's garden machine. So, you could buy everything at one machine, move onto the next. Or, selectivly buy from several machines.
I am a little foggy on the gatherer's garden, however, so these are not facts.

Hmm... So separate machines in separate areas provide different things? Very much like Ratchet & Clank, if so. Interesting.
