Hi,

Ive looked around the forums and i cant quite find a post that answers these questions: How does the GOTW work? Is it only your first attempt of GOTW that counts to an online score, ie if you quit your frist try at it, but then play it again and win you wont get an only score beacuse of your first failure?

Reason why i ask is because i have now beaten GOTW on dieity twice (ps3) but havent had my score updated on the leaderboards, i did quit my first attempt. Its been over 30 hours since my first win, and its not that i cant find myslef in the vast amount of pro CIVers as there is only one person in the hall of fame!

Anyone else having this issue?

Hmm so far i've noticed a few things with MOTW
It seems people are able to use anyrace, but I have not worked out how to do this. Leader board shows a whole bunch of races being used im assuming this one of the many errors of Civ Rev. I won last weeks and after my name just got errased no hall of fame or anything, I was pretty dissapointed seeming it took me a while then for it just to be deleted.

I felt they should of made it MOTM (map of the month) and the winner goes into a hall of fame. Currently you try so hard then it just gets erased ;(((

p.s A great game just needs some patches

Well it says in the manual that you can play the GOTW as many times as you like, would be quite pointless replaying it if you cant improve on your score. Miz when you managed to get your score on the hall of fame was it your first time on the map?

I do agree that it is a shame that on sunday the leader board resets, i think there should be a section to view last weeks top 10.

I'm more than sure that someone just asked this recently, and I replied. anyway, it takes your HIGHEST score of all your games and uses that. So play 100 times, if the first time you won by 0AD second at 50AD, and then it was always after 50AD then it'll use 0AD as your score.

So keep playing till you know the map, and then play some more :D

I have beat my score 2 time yesterdays and 1time today, and there still NO update in my score ! the 3 last game just not show up in the hall...

And for test i played 1 game in King where i was have no game in hall, and guess what this game not show up too..

Why you think all ppl who got this problem is just dumb and do something wrong ?

Or maybe its because they not and there is really a bug and you dont understand it because you dont have any problem in your game showing up....

Are you addressing me there or someone else? I certainly don't think you or anyone else is dumb or did something wrong. It's clear that the GOTW servers aren't working properly just wait and they'll sort it out. You've let it be known, so they'll get right to it. I don't think Sid is one of those guys that says 'Oh they've bought the full game, I've got their money, now I'm not going to fix any bugs, or sort things out'....

The map of the week is updated every sunday. Last week you played as the english. This week it's the romans.

I quit my first game early because it was going so badly and my second one didn't show up on the leaderboard (would've been 4th on king).
