Error

Not letting me host a game, but i can play COD4 fine.
What might be the problem?

What system are you on? Have you tried joining a game?

Wouldn't let me join a game either, reset my router and it works now.

routers are the common culprit for connection issues. :rolleyes:

I can't find games. I've tried resetting my router but nothing changes. When I go to Player Match -> Quick Match it comes up saying "Looking for games..." then "Evaluating games..." then I get an error saying "Failed to host a game! Please check your network connection" and it goes back to the Player Match screen.

When I create a custom match it can't find any games. I can create a match but it just goes straight through and I don't think anyone joins.

I'm using a PS3.

if got the same prob as lordofallcatan exept mine just sits on evaluating games for hours and then i sometimes get an error, im also on a ps3

the same! i cant play the game online and all other games work fine!

sounds like gamespy is having issues...I really don't understand why they can exist as a company when they can't get MP to work well for one single game they are used for...

Haha yea. How are they even in business? What else do they do?

Gamespy is the bane of online gaming(I would say gaming in general, but that title belongs to EA).

dunno, EA sounds like they are cleaning up their mess...I've heard nothing from GameSpy about improving themselves.

I only get the "you can't host a game" error if I choose a quick match
If I choose a specific game I can host it myself even if it doesn't find any.

I guess most people use the quick match option and no one can host using it which results in few active games.
