YAY NEW THREAD!

To bad only one post will answer your question.

Harvesting gets you more adam.

Saving gets you less than more.

Duplexing the Adam gets you a EVE bonus

Well i told you already but incase it could help others too..

ADAM wise if you want it for buying tonics, slots etc then probably harvesting would be the best. Though personally if i was going for brass balls id only kill the first Little Sister cause you have to, would be much easier to just ignore the BD's after that to save you from dying making it easier to get Brass Balls. However doing this would mean you have little or no ADAM to buy new tonics, slots etc.. Although once you can start researching you can gain tonics from that as well. Dying wise would be easier to not fight them at all but once you build up tonics and research against them they will be easier to kill

If you still care, I always skip the Big Daddies for the first half of the game, then I go on a genocidal killing spree. It seems to work for me. :D

Though I will say that the first BD that you encounter(in the Medical Pavillion) is pretty easy, since you can theoretically have two turrets helping you.

What i do is i only killed the bouncers because their easier to kill. I would recommend harvesting because when you harvest 1 at a time you get health and eve upgrades wit 1 visit.

Here is the best strategy if you plan on getting through the BD's.
The Rosies (The ones with the rivet guns) tend to back away if you get too close, and shoot at you if your far away. Just rush the rosies with your shotgun and shoot them to death at point blank range.
The bouncers are always, ALWAYS going to charge you, so the best idea is to find one in a very long hallway,go to one end of it,and beat the pi** out off them with a crossbow.

Or you could periodically save and when you die just reload it and dont make the same mistake :)

Saving is better in the long run :)

save the little sister the big daddy body gaurd is really helpful, the big daddies are easy on hard just use your environment, there are strategic rooms all over for killing them use explosive barrels, use security alarms, use enrage, use grenades from a nearby nitro splicer, and when all else fails use exploding buck. Big daddies shouldn't give you that much trouble.

The top 3 things NOT to do on Hard:

Three:Leave the game without pausing it.

Two:Forget to save and/or smash your xbox/PC to little bits.

One: DON'T DIE!

When I did my Brass Balls Achievement, I did it whilst Harvesting the Little Sisters, yes you get alot more Adam [I was only interested in Health and Eve Upgrades anyway and also for buying the new Electro Bolt and Incinerate Plasmids] BUT you will not get your perks from Tenenbaum, and some of these are particularly useful - Hypnotise Big Daddy for example comes in very handy at the end of Arcadia when trapped in Julie Langford's Lab, this was one of the hardest parts for me on Hard Mode.

Here's the method I used whilst fighting Big Daddies on Hard Mode, posted this on another forum a while back when I did it -

Once you have the Grenade Launcher I found a really sneaky/cunning way to kill them, while they are still "friendly", make sure they have a Little Sister with them, then lay a proximity mine near him, back away a bit and lay another one, back away a bit more and lay a third proximity mine, switch to your frag grenades and shoot the Big Daddy, making him then target you, he will run through all of the proximity mines losing half of his health in the process, I did this on pretty much every Big Daddy in the game and it works like a charm :)

Let's see if I can dig into knowledge from months ago.

Be a man and Rescue the Little Sisters and kill the Big Daddys. If you're sure you can't beat down a Big Daddy there and then ignore him and continue on til you're sure you have the ammo to bring them down. If you still aren't confident get some research done. Think craftily, try to set up scenarios where Splicers attack the Big Daddy while being assailed by security bots. Try to be CHAOTIC while keeping the Big Daddy from firing upon you. In fact keep the Splicers themselves from being attacked by shocking the Big Daddy mid fight.

Bioshock is a game where you can approach any situation in many many many ways. Look around the area you're in and see what you can come up with.

I did the Brass Balls achievement by brawling it out with the Vita Chambers turned off. Eventually I got it all done and relised how easy of a game it can be regardless if you save or harvest- but a glorious journey none the less. Believe it or not I prefer to deliberately handicap myself by not using the cheap trap bolts and proximity spamming. I must be pretty hardcore Bioshock.
