Will the PS3 version get a Collectors Edition?

As the title suggest I'm just wondering if the PS3 version get a Collectors Edition or similar?

I think this would be a great chance to include something like a Little Sister figure, or a poster from one of the plasmid advertisements. Maybe even package it in some sort of rusted tin case (similar to the tin case PAL version on the 360/PC but with more decay etc).

Considering the game sold well (and was recieved quite favorably critically) I'd imagine there will be a CE. Since the Xbox/PC LE sold well I'd imagine 2K will make quite a few more avilable this time around.

But then again, this port may be trageted more towards having BioShock on the PS3 since the next one is coming and may be more of a low key affair. I personally expect a CE or LE tho...

As someone who missed out on the 360 and PC versions of Bioshock CE, I endorse ideas that will see reproduction of these niche items for Bioshock fans, including Little Sister figures being given the nod by 2k. If cost is a problem, 2k can look to reproduce them as part of a toy lineup and charge accordingly. I'm also willing to spend a nominal fee for a hardcover artbook.

first off i do hope there is a special edition version released however the xbox one was a bit of a disappiontment! i love my big daddy and it has pride and place on top of my consoles but the extra content that was given was well... pish! allow my to explain how to remedy my dissapointment with the ps3 version should there be a special edition, in fact of courese there will be one...

ok second of all though i did like the little makin off it was hardly a full dvd? i mean come on with all the extra content i had downloaded and this was it for the SE dvd? A remedy for the ps3 version would be this... since all ps3 and bluray fanboys go on and on about there being more room (which i dont dispute) on the bluray disk let see it used! it has made no difference to any game release yet so hopefully this will be different, i'd like to see all the trailers in 1080p! and of course another makin of which i suspect is already in production.

third... another statue or in fact since i'm being greedy 2 or even 3 :) ok so i cant complain about the big daddy statue, i love it to bits! and given that i know you folks arn't daft chances are that you will already changed the statue to something else simply because us hardcore fans will buy the SE ps3 version if there is something new about it, we are suckers for new stuff!

lastly, because i dont want to sound like i'm complaining here, i'll add, bioshock has been and continues to be my most enjoyable gaming experience to date, its got everything, it simply is a game tailored for my needs as a gamer, so i would like to end this post with a THANKS TO EVERYONE INVOLVED WITH THE 360 VERSION it really is my favorite game, ever!

oh yeah i just remembered, there was the artwork pdf! which showed loads of stuff not included in the game and the different stages and ideas you had so somekind of artwork booklet as well would be sweet! have a look at the gta4 art book thats what we need with bioshock on ps3! i dont care about the price stick all this with it and i will spend! :) cheers.

That is why I developed an obsession with getting the CE's and LE's. In my collection, if a game has a CE or LE version, I own that version. Oblivion was my first.

No offense 2K, I like it. But I listened to it once and then just downloaded the orchestral soundtrack. (Orchestral was way better)

Actually, rumor has it that 360 and PS3 will be getting price drops. That looks to be very true for 360 as several pictures have been leaked revealing the Pro model at $299.99 from Gamestop and WalMart. PS3 is rumored to be in August. But that one was indicated by some memo or something. So 360 one should be announced at E3.

EDIT: I loooove blu-ray and just got my Samsung 1080p 40" HDTV couple days ago! But the PS3 has one exclusive, Killzone 2, that I am really interested in. And about 3 of 4 multiplatform titles have more issues on PS3 than on 360.

I love buying collector's, limited, and special editions of games. They are not a waste to me, and the cooler or nicer they look, the more I want them.

I have Halo 3 Legendary Edition (http://www.amazon.com/Microsoft-HALOHEL-Halo-Legendary-Edition/dp/B000K8ZTK8), and I preordered Fallout 3 Survival Edition (http://www.amazon.com/Fallout-3-Amazon-com-Exclusive-Survival/dp/B0017QL8XE/ref=pd_bxgy_vg_img_b). There's about $140 extra that I was willing to pay in addition to the games' prices without collectibles. I love having extras to show off and display, plus I love to have 'em myself. I also have the CE/LE/SE's for the following games: Halo 2, Lost Planet, Rainbow Six Vegas 2, Gears of War, Mass Effect, Devil May Cry 4, Splinter Cell: Double Agent, Call of Duty 4, Oblivion, Assassin's Creed, and of course BioShock. No matter how 'junky' or amazing the stuff that came with them is, it was worth it to me. I look forward to a BioShock PS3 Collector's edition as well.

EDIT: I have a few Steelbook movie cases as well. And Grand Theft Auto IV Special Edition. ($89.99)

I love extra swag and the figure, soundtrack, and making of dvd was well worth the extra ten bucks. If you're not into it just buy the regular release and the rest of us will happily grab the new collectors version (if there is one.)

HI, i´m from mexico and i have to say that you all are so so lucky to have the incredible LE because here, that edition didn't come officially and some bad people sold it but in an expensive price of $200 or even more so, i hope at first a LE or CE of the game (i don't have ps3 but i want my big daddy figure haha), and second of course an official released. By the way, a "rosie" figure sounds awsome.

Well there already was a CE for the original release. If you really want the figurine, I am sure you can still find an old CE on ebay. I can't remember any ports getting a CE at their later release. Not saying ports never get a CE, I just can't remeber when one has.

I can partially answer that for you. The PS3 port of Elder Scrolls: Oblivion received a Game of The Year edition. It doesn't say Collectors Edition, but once it comes down to it, it's all the same. Special Edition, Director's Cut, Limited Edition, Gold Edition, Game of the Year edition, Editor's Choice Edition. Anymore I forgot?

Special Edition, Director's Cut, Limited Edition, Gold Edition, Game of the Year edition, Editor's Choice Edition. Anymore I forgot?

The Game of the Year Edition was released simultaneously on 360 and PS3 after it had already been out on PS3 for months. The original release of Oblivion on PS3 did not receive any Collector's edition, which the 360 version did receive.

I don't quite consider that the same situation as with BioShock. I am thinking about when it releases on PS3, will there be a CE. Not months later, will there be a GotY edition for both consoles.

Anyways, there still could be another port out there that got a CE on release.

I would love a Steelbook LE in the US. I was near heartbroken when the told us on the forums that it was a reqular case, but with different art and it came in an embossed cardboard box. Then they were telling me I will have a Broken Big Daddy (thank God I didn't). Then the demo came out and I forgave them. :D

I was really looking forward to a Big Daddy for my ps3. I missed the xbox version because I was waiting for the ps3 version. Until I read on all the gaming sites that it was an xbox exclusive.
