This board is moving way to slow.
Civ Rev looks to be a great game, and a great game for thinking gamers.
Wheather you are getting the 360 or PS3 version we can come here on these boards (neutral ground) and talk about the fun we have when it comes out.
But lets take about strats now.
Lets get this board moving.
I've never played the series, but I love stratagy games.
I'm wondering how the turn based battle is going to go over with the younger crowd.
Too bad the game got bumped to July.

Couldn't agree more. This community is moving very slowly. Of course it's not much of a community compared to what other games have for a community site. This is only a forum. Also, it's now just 34 days until the original release date. So add another 38 to that, and you get the magic number of 72 more mind numbingly boring days until this game hits. I have not bought a new game since UT3 came out, and I am not going to, until Civ Rev comes out. So basically I am playing Resistance: FOM, GH3 and UT3 over and over. Gaming relieves stress for me, but anxiously awaiting a game that gets delayed creates stress. I was actually planning to take a week off from work 6/3 to 6/10, so I could zone out and play for a week. Cheap vacation for 60 bucks I could go anywhere and rule the world for a week. :D :D

I wish we could play against each other or as a team Bulldog.
I will eventually get a PS3 down the line for Bluray.
So If I can get a really cheap multiplat game, I might double dip for a PS3 version. But I'd mostly get exclusives for it.
Of coarse if you ever get a 360 send and FR my way.
I wonder how fast paced the game will be since its TB.
In BFMEII, you have to always be thinking and planning and moving your forces.
TB builds anticipation for what your opponent will do next.
I'm just hoping its a really fun experiance.

Heck ya man... If it was x-platform we would definitely team up.
Civ is like chess on steroids, that's why I have always loved the series. Even though the Civ that got me hooked was Civilization: Call to Power, and that supposedly isn't a real Sid Civ. But Civ 2, 3, and 4 are all cool. With simultaneous turns it should be closer to the action of a RTS, as far as speed is concerned. With less micro managing, there should be more time to focus on strategy. I am hoping that this game is an addictive experience. I hope it keeps me busy until another game comes along that I deem worthy of my hard earned $60 bucks. Or it would be super sweet if they support this game properly with timely DLC and community events, that I will play it till the next game I want is out for a while and goes on the "greatest hits" for $30 or $40. lol :D

Yeah nothing worse than dropping $60 on a dud.
I just got burned with Universe at War.
It came close to being good but didn't quite make it.
Same with C&C 3.
But I LOVE BFMEII.
I love Chess too, I'd say I'm a fair to ok player.
I wish Sony would make a clone 360 controller.
I could never get into the feel of the sony controllers.
If they ever make one with asymetrical stick, it would make me want to buy one more.
And getting back on point, this board is moving really slow.
I hope the game sells so people will take chance (especially on the Xbox, I'm getting tired of shooters) although Xbox has alot more than shooters.

Well the game is still 2 months away so it is kinda hard to strategize. However, when the demo comes out you can trust that I'll be on here a lot asking questions and answering a few. Maybe coming up with a few strategies and gimmicks.

Well Strat would be good talk, but what type would have the advantages in the later rounds?
