Whats so good about bioshock?

seriously, it looks like a slow paced shooter with some upgrade abilities, almost like a bad deus ex, plus it has a really corney plot. Am I missing something here?

the ai is innovative, the creatures arnt spawning in the same places all the time, so its probably not like the predictable darkness

and the Ai Say more then, Kill him, Go away. Im DEAD! Which can become more annoying. I bet the Ai Can even break dance out-of-no-where if they wanted to (because there crazy!) or even say every word and description in the dictionary while chasing you down (which would be Just terrble, Like an obsessed-teacher-mad-person-flavaflav).

This game will have so much beauty, horror, Unmilked elements never used in games, a surrounding of every day Items to be used as weapons. It will be very extreme...and how was The Darkness? I remember seeing a trailer of that awhile back. I dont think I would buy it though I Mean I just spent well over a few grand preparing for the return of irrational games. so maybe when its on sale XD.

First off, the graphics have always been okay in Halo. Gameplay is technically the same as other FPS titles, and thirdly, the MP sucks. There's so much auto-aim in that thing.

P.S. Deus Ex was created by Warren Spector, the same guy who also helped of System Shock, so if anything, Deus Ex copied System Shock.
Warren Spector then went off and founded Ion Storm, which made both Deus Ex games, if I'm correct.

BioShock is delivering in everything they ever promised. It's about choice and customization...

* non-linear environments after 2nd level
* weapon upgrading/modifying
* saving system (also optional to use) - Vita Chambers allow you to save your progress, when you die in battle, you are reconstructed and the enemies maintain the health they had when you died... again, optional to use for those who feel this might make the game easy... then just use quicksaves.
* incredible AI interaction
* backtracking
* the option of using entirely different resources as weapons (plasmids, environment, Big Daddies, etc.)
* crafting tools (I'm guessing are used to construct different types of ammo)
* moral choices of harvesting/rescuing LSs (which WILL effect your game, but won't be uneven how both sides play out)
* items are also interactive, including beer and food you can consume which will effect your health and EVE
