I just wondered who where was a big fan of Mafia before it got out?
I myself have waited like 5 years for Mafia 1 and i had made a big fansite.
After the game was out i still got email from people who needed help with the game :D

i was, am and will be a fan of mafia as long as i live. But i would request 2k czech to give us more frequent infos and atleast a particular release date. n also plz giv pc first preference.thanks

To be honest, when the game was released i wasn't into gaming that much. I saw the game lying in a gameshop and i decided to buy it because of the cool cover art. Found out the game was also rocking hard... Been a fan since that day, and i can't wait for Mafia 2!

Was (and still am) a big fan of Mafia 1.

used to run a big H&D2 fan site & we got a sneak peak of Mafia at Take2's Windsor offices in UK while having a look at H&D2, didn't see much but was very impressed, Mafia is the only game I've bought that has never been uninstalled which says a lot.

as much as I want more info in some ways would rather not know too much, not really expecting it to live up to the first game ;) but what I've seen & read so far looks promising.

I know what you mean about the info, it could be to much.
In my opinion I am more interested in the technical details on the game, specs, replayability etc.
I will for sure stay away from the forums when the game is out though that I will tell you :)

hi again, those were the good old days, seems so long ago now, but then it was 2001 :eek: when we went to Take2.

dont play H&D2 anymore, my new computer wouldn't run it, at least Mafia still works :D

I forgot to answer the original question of the thread ;)

I got mafia a bit after it was released in 2002, and it is still to this day one of the most immersive games I have played and I believe it to be one of the best SP games released on the PC platform.

In total I have finished the game 4 times, and I plan to re-install it and give it a last (who knows heh) replay before Mafia 2 hits the street.

As far as my expectations, as long as the main story is compelling I welcome added features\content for increased replayability.

I am with you on all 4 things :) , PLUS a new trailer and more info SOON. You guys (the developers and publishers) have no idea how we've lived the years after Mafia I (Gaming wise speaking). :)

I know a lot of H&D2 fans were also Mafia fans, I just like anything Illusion Softworks do, I even imported the Czech version of Chameleon, couldn't understand most of what was going on but was an IS game :)

i found mafia 1 like 2 years after it was realesed, didn't have a good computer then, it looks like i will have to upgrade the computer again when Mafia 2 comes out

You guys (the developers and publishers) have no idea how we've lived the years after Mafia I (Gaming wise speaking). :)After playing Mafia I waited and waited for a Mafia II, but nothing. Then a couple of months ago I see Mafia II somewhere, and my heart skipped a beat. I know, it sounds lame, lol, but I just loved the first game so much. I don't remember when I first played it. I think a friend had the demo, and I liked the tutorial mission, speaking into the microphone and such, and decided to get the full game just like that.
I know what you mean about the info, it could be to much.

I'd like some weekly/monthly updates to get inside the heads of the developers, to let us know how the game is coming along and the thought process they go through. They don't even have to release info. It would be a nice insight.

I the admirer of a mafia 1 not so long ago. About a year. After passage grandee GTA SA, me wanted to find game similar on GTA, I have found a mafia, then I have understood that a mafia better than GTA. :)

I completed Mafia 6 times i m into my exams so far this year but i may give it another go ... :)

I did not played this game on my own PC first time :D .... it was May 2004 i think i had a slow AMD 500 MHz PC that was not capable of playing Mafia but
i was already aware of this excellent game through gamespot ...

My friend shifted his house and he temporarily placed some stuff at my house along with his P-III 1.1 GHz system with 256 MB of RAM fortunately i got 512 MB of spare RAM (to make it 768 MB) from my friend and so i played Mafia first time ... and loved every bit of it ...

Not for to much screens and info about the missions etc, because mostly before I get a game, I know all the missions already because of to much info. :D :mad:
