Podařilo se nám sehnat exkluzivní info (thx blixa & Jake) z nového LEVELu, který se má v pátek objevit na stáncích.

Na první pohled vypadá ono místo jako parkoviště, to ale není v tuto chvíli důležité. Mnohem podstatnější je scéna, která se zde odehrává. Tři dobře oblečení mafiáni se zde baví drsným vyhrožováním obtloustlému staříkovi. Nejhorlivější z gangsterů k němu právě přistupuje a strká mu hlaveň pistole do úst. Tlouštík zoufale prosí o milost kvůli své ženě a dětem, černovlasý gangster ale zvýší hlas: „Na ně jsi měl myslet dřív!“ Opodál stojící Vito vypadá trochu odměřeně, náhle se ale ozve výstřel a k zemi nepadá kupodivu stařík, ale gangster. Jeho budoucí oběť totiž nějak vytáhla z kabátu revolver a střelila jej do nohy. Vito a Joe okamžitě bez rozmyslu vystřílí zásobníky do nebohého staříka a sklánějí se nad svým postřeleným kumpánem. Jede se za doktorem. Samozřejmě italským...

Na stránkách LEVELu už se objevilo stručné info o jejich pátečním čísle, které bude obsahovat velice rozsáhlé preview o Mafii II a na DVD má být i 15 minut dlouhý rozhovor Danem Vávrou.

Dnes navíc bylo nahozeno oficiální forum hry, kde hlavní admin - Elizabeth - informovala, že vydání PC verze a verze na konzole by mělo být souběžné!

Info z OPM bylo staženo z jistých důvodů, aby nebylo uškozeno LEVELu, protože jej máme všichni rádi, že jo :-).

Tiscali Games uvedlo taktéž úryvek z LEVELu, celá novinka zde.

Dnes také uvedl nově naběhlý web o Mafii taktéž úryvek s článku o Mafii II, který bude v LEVElu, provedla se tedy vzájemná výměna a oba naše úryvky jsou na webech :-).

Na nádraží v americkém Empire City přijíždí vlak s vojenskými vysloužilci, kteří se vracejí z bojů v Evropě, aby uvolnili místa novým bojovníkům proti Hitlerovi. Z jednoho z vagonů vystupuje v tmavě zeleném kabátu a s velkým kufrem i jeden zhruba dvacetiletý mladík. Jmenuje se Vito a vzhledem k jeho minulosti ho ani nepřekvapí, že jej na nádraží po příjezdu nikdo nečeká. Když ale projde po peronu do hlavní haly nádraží, s radostí zjistí, že se ve svém pesimismu přeci jenom zmýlil – u jednoho z obchodů ho totiž objetím a pořádnou herdou po zádech přivítá jeho starší kamarád Joe. Vito se diví – nikomu přeci nedával vědět, kdy dorazí – Joe ale se smíchem odpovídá, že má svoje zdroje, a zve Vita na projížďku ve skoro až podezřele hezkém a draze vypadajícím autě...

First part probably explains what is happening on this screenshot (http://games.tiscali.cz//images/mafia2/bmg5.jpg). Then there is interjection about content of Level magazine (exclusive preview and 15 min interview with Dan Vavra on DVD). Second story is about the very beginning of Mafia 2. But those are spoilers and I'm not sure if it's proper to say it here.

:D .. well, my crap translation from the spanish - I have a friend trilingual spanish /czech / english ,

In the station of Empire City a train arrives veterans returning from the war in Europe, to make way for new warriors against Hitler. In one of the carriages a young man of about twenty years, dressed in green, with a large suitcase. His name is Vito and taking into account his past, not surprised that this is not waiting for anyone. But in the main station discovers with happiness , that was wrong in their pessimism - beside one of the stores , the old friend Joe , welcomes to Vito with a hug and a good pat on the back . Vito is surprised - he had not told anyone when he returned - Joe nevertheless responds that has his sources and invited Vito a city tour in a suspiciously beautiful and expensive car.

A la estacion de Empire City llega un tren con veteranos que vuelven de la guerra en Europa, para dejar paso a nuevos gerreros contra Hitler. De uno de lso vagones sale un joven de unos veinte anos, vestido de verde, con una gran maleta. Se llama Vito y teniendo en cuenta su pasado, no le sorprende que no le este esperando nadie. Pero en la estacion principal descubre con felicidad que estaba equivocado en su pesimismo - al lado de una de las tiendas le da la bienvenida con un abrazo y una buena palmada en la espalda su viejo amigo Joe. Vito esta extranado - no le habio dicho a nadie cuando volvia - Joe sin embargo responde que tiene sus fuentes e invita a Vito a una vuelta por la ciudad en un sospechosamente bonito y caro coche.

Sorry, I made a double post of the previous one by a mistake, so I changed it for the second part of translation :-)

Second part (again citation from Level, but this time published online by colleague at mafia2game.cz):

It looks like a parking lot for a first time, but that's not important right now. What's more important is the scene wich is taking part here. Three well-dressed mobs are enjoying rough threat of some corpulent oldster. The most zealous of mobsters comes to the oldster and sticks his gun into the odlster's mouth. Oldster is praying for favor, crying he has a wife and kids. "You shouldn't thought about them before?!" /sorry, not sure what were the exact words in trailer, hope you all recognized the scene/ Vito, standing in back seems to be a bit restrained, but suddenly there's a shot coming and surprisngly it's not the oldster who's falling down, it's the zealous gangster. Vito and Joe promptly and with no consideration emptying their clips into the poor oldster and helping their friend. It's time for a doc. An italian doc of course ...

The way original Mafia told the story of Tommy, and the reason he had to join criminals, was just awesome. I hope and wish that developers do the same (or better) with Mafia II as well.
