Thanks for the new episode !! You guys are pretty hilarious. Also, you guys make the game sound really fun and amazing. I cannot wait ! The fact that each game will be unique is very cool. And will obviously make players learn many different strategies, which will add to the FUN factor.

I'll hijack this thread to ask questions related to this podcast. We could hear/read that spies can steal Great Persons. Can someone elaborate on this? What factors are involved in the chance of stealing him, how is he then transported to one of your own cities etc. How do you protect them more specifically?

Second question is about the upgrades of units. You say their uniforms will change etc, will this not then mean you get to know all the secrets of your enemy's troops? It kinda removes the trick up your sleeve.

Third question, "overrun" was mentioned and my impression was that battles which are totally unrealistic have been fixed, is that right? So a knight cannot destroy an attack helicopter and as the example mentioned, mere men will just be run down by a tank since they cannot do anything vs the tank. Will grenadiers fail too then?

Fourth question, can someone tell me more of this super great person who flips a city over to your side? That sounds indubitably overpowered so I've very intrigued of how this works in the real game and what limitations it has. And who is the person who has this? :)

Spies kidnap a great person to the next tile. It's up to you to protect them and get them back to your territory (which is no small feat).

It's true, you can see on the map if the enemy has infiltration or something, but that's not really where the strategy comes from. Plus you can always put units on ships and transport them right next to enemy cities if you don't want to show your hand until it's too late.

Nope, that's not true. Civ wouldn't be Civ unless spearmen can take down a bomber. :)

Overrun is purely a numbers thing. If you manage (through upgrades, terrain bonuses, etc) to get a unit like a swordsman super powerful, then it can take down a tank.

You earn great people by hitting cultural milestones, finding ancient artifacts and other things. You can only convert an enemy city if their cultural status allows it...same as Civ IV. You can't convert an enemy city that's generating a lot of culture. Also you can build walls to prevent conversion entirely.

Thanks for the information. I see on the last question that I interpreted it all wrong :) I thought the podcast said you would just gain control over a city by using the great person. This clears that up :)
