Nice! Some screens of the tech tree and interface etc is what was missing, now we got some of that. I just noticed that cities are very close to each other, does this indicate that you have decreased the area of which a town can have its influence or how does it work? Now when I'm writing this I recall reading something about this but my memory fails me if its true or not.

I read somewhere, that it's one resource only per tile, Magwill. With the usual nine tiles being workable from founding the city, and the balance to twenty-one becoming available when you build Courthouse.
I also read that you can direct the cultural growth of your borders, by applying culture directly to the tiles around your cities. It's kinda difficult to explain, but the impression I got was that you could 'focus' cultural expansion to any of the four points of the compass, (think 'culture bomb' in Civ IV, but with much more focused directivity). If that's true, then it really does open up some tremendously exciting strategic possibilities.
Just imagine for example, having to make that difficult choice of whether to expand to the north; and that chokepoint that can be fortified against the threat of a Roman invasion; or, to the west; and that neighbouring gold mine that looks just ripe for the picking!
All pretty cool, imo! :)

So if I understand you correctly you mean that you make a city expand only North for example? And therefore you can then build two cities close to eachother and then direct the cultural influence opposite of each other so that you do not lose any cultural growth that would collide on the same tiles?

I'm not sure about being able to prevent overflow onto the same tile Magwill. But yes, that's pretty much how I understand it to be.

Sorry about the double post, guys. But just to get back on topic.........
Thanks for that, Elizabeth.
The screenies are fantastic! I particularly like the idea of the bumpers being used to cycle between city screens, and the name of the previous and next city being labelled to the appropriate bumper. That's a very nice touch, and a feature that an old warhorse such as myself, (who tends to play Civ at break-neck speed) will find very useful indeed!

I like the information you get on your opponents in the upper right corner. Also the techtree was clear and concise which is great. A funny thing is that I thought it said Mad Chinese Democracy but it seems my mind was just relating to other things ;)

yeah, even on multi player with the turn timer on fast, i can scroll through all my cities before time is up and move my units and all that jazz. it's really nice.
