I read that there will be a new map every week, but it doesn't say if it will cost or if it's free. Which is it ? Is there an expansion planned and if so will it be DLC or what ?

I should probably let a Firaxian/2K answer this, but my understanding is that the Game Of The Week will be a free download. :)

I think the possibilities for dlc for Civ Rev are fantastic. New maps, leaders, tweaks to the tech tree etc. Civ has to be the most moddable game on the planet, so I strongly suspect that Civ Rev will be every bit as fresh and exciting in years to come, as it is on release day.
Stay frosty. And can we have some more gameplay footage, please? :)

Do you mean it has the potential for it or that it is something that is said to be planned? It sounds really good :)

No, I don't know if it will happen Magwill. I'm just hoping that it does! You only have to look at how the two expansions for Civ IV changed the 'feel' of the game, to see the same potential for Civ Rev.
As a 'sandbox' game the possibilities are endless. And I know I'd be more than happy shelling out a few quid once in a while, if it helps keep my favourite game series ever, alive, fresh, and exciting.

When they have figures on how many units they have sold I think they can make a judgment on how profitable it will be to have such things. I hope they will come to the conclusion that it is profitable. Also online expansions like mini-downloads for payment are less costly than distributing another disc and selling it to shops etc. Don't know about whether there are any costs to get the game formally verified by Sony though and I know they cannot talk about it either.

We are already planning on several rounds of downloadable content.
We're not talking about what they're gonna be yet, but they'll be cool. :)
