Civilization 1 for free?

With the release of Civilization Revolution, might Sid Meier's Civilization be released for free?

1991, I believe. I have Civ3 and CivIV and don't need duplicates from the Civilization Chronicles set and I'd never played the first one even before that.

Yeah. I wouldn't be suprised. You can download games like GTA2 for free. I don't know what the word is/will be for this. Although I certainly wouldn't mind.

I was wondering because Firaxis released the first Railroad Tycoon to promote Railroads! Could someone suggest this to Firaxis? Please?

We don't have any plans to do so right now. Since CivRev is a console-only game, it's unlikely that we'd release it as a promotion for that. But you never know what we'll do in the future.

i remember watching my older brother playing civ 1 and me on a chair right by his side ahh good times :D

Speaking of civ 1 there is this guy on youtube who has done a load of clips with running commentary on a couple of his civ 1 games. They are quite entertaining and also bring back some of the good memories of playing civ one.

You can get Civ I on eBay for about 5 bux, or you could get civ II for 7 bux.
