Finally fixed the "Bioshock not working properly" bug thingy. The laptopvideo2go.com driver update worked like a charm after I actually tried to use it. :P At first I assumed it would just be the same as trying to download my drivers at nvidia but I have been happily proved wrong. So, anyways, I encourage everyone that has the same bug to do what I did in case you didn't actually try laptopvideo2go.com and instead assumed, like i did, that it was the same as any other driver update site.
Game runs perfectly on medium settings, haven't tried high settings yet, my system specs are:
Model: Sony Vaio Notebook- VGN-SZ791N series
Speed: 2.5 ghz
Graphics card: Nvidia GeForce 8400M GS
Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo
RAM: 4G
System Type: 32 bit
So Bioshock can run on laptops :D
