I really liked Ninja Scrolls. The movie was pretty awesome.
As to Dacbietazn, and DemonCommander. What's up with you're useless posts? Iyul created a totally legit thread and you have to ruin it by posting those meaningless replies?

Um... to the OP:
Have you recently noticed an incurable urge to create a large number of fairly useless threads to kick your post count up? All I see with this junk is spam. It ruins the board.

Hm... there's a few.
But I did enjoy Fullmetal Panic a great deal. It's hilarious from beginning to the end. Well... almost lol Season 1 and 3 are far more serious, but the Fumofu arc is too good to pass. Even if you didn't watch the first season, I recommend FmP: Fumofu just for the intense laughters. And it's the kind of anime, especially Fumofu, that is best to watch in english, believe it or not lol I watched the same episodes in Japanese and didn't find it as funny. ;)
Fullmetal Alchemist (no name relations here :P ) did catch my eyes a while back. Yes I know, I guess it could be considered mainstream anime, but I thought it was of pretty high quality standard for mainstream, compared to a lot of animes out there. Not to mention... IT ENDS! You know, about 50 episodes, 1 movie, and THAT'S IT! lol
I watch Naruto to follow the story, but only in Japanese, seeing as a load was censured off the american version -_- And I wouldn't buy the dvds to watch them back. It's too long to start with. But it's entertaining to watch every week I guess. But I don't cry over it if I miss an episode lol
Perfect Blue was an awesome movie that I still watch from time to time.
What else... Avatar: The Last Airbender, though not Japanese, is one of the best anime looking cartoon out there. The story is top notch, the characters well fleshed out, and the animation is surprisingly high quality. Compared to a lot of cartoons out there, this one deserves a truck load of gold medals ;)
An anime I'd love to see is a render of Battle Royale. I'm a huge fan of the series. I have all 15 mangas, the original novel, and saw both movies (although I wasn't crazy about the movies). Seeing an anime based off Battle Royale would make me ever so happy ;)

I'm really looking forward to the english dubbed version of Devil May Cry... i'm an uber-fan of the series and hope I can get the SE of DMC4 (it contains 3 discs, one of which contains a few episodes of the series).

give em a break, they're like 12....
As for the subject, I don't watch a lot of anime, as most of it (like most american cartoons) are targeted towards kids, but there are a few mature ones that shine.
Someone already mentioned perfect blue. If Alfred Hitchcock did anime, that's what it'd be like.
I've also enjoyed Ghost in the Shell (series and movies), Blue Gender (great futuristic sci fi series), Cowboy Bebop, and Ninja Scroll. I have Hellsing on my netflix queue, hope it's good.
