View Full Version : Can someone help me in my quest for SS2?

I desperately want this game after playing Bioshock, but things are holding me back.
1.) I cannot find the game anywhere. Ridiculous prices on eBay.
2.) My computer is an older Toshiba Satellite with an ATI Radeon Graphics Card. I don't know if this is an issue to run it, but it can't play many PC games.
3.) I'm running the newest distro of Ubuntu. Also, I know nothing about wine.
If anyone can help me with any of this, it would be greatly appreciated.

Well I have seen some people will sell them at a computer game store but hell I dont know any that exist anylonger well....there are some but they sell the newer items, I think your best bet is either a friend that may have it or well some websites may sell it cheap.

the-underdogs.info (or google "home of the underdogs") is the most comprehensive abandonware site on the net. It has both system shocks. Problem is their bandwidth capabilities (they have thousands of games) means that you can only download one file at a time, and no matter how speedy your connection they will only download at a maximum rate of 7 kbps.
Also ther eis this french site, the download speed are mega-fast, but Im not sure of ss2 is there. It's all in french, this site, but I got both quakes and the first two gta's, so... try this too : www.abandonware-utopia.com
