We were supposed to get Bioshock in June, and now that release has been canceled for good. AUGUST 21st!?!? Who are they kidding, thats too long to wait, and by then most of us will have either sold or thrown away our 360's out of sheer boredom. (My friend Marky Mark, smashed his 360 after he bought his Wii, because he felt the controller was too old fashioned and that paying for online gaming was lame). Anyways AUGUST 21st!!! Is way too long to wait, I will be finishing my last semester of business school a WEEK after it is released. What does this mean? Will I be playing Bioshock constantly for that one week of freedom with it? Time will only tell.
Who here is considering getting rid of their 360 because of this delay? Who thinks the wait is too long? Who thinks that their can't possibly be anything else thats worth putting into the game by the time it is released in late August?

Games have been getting delayed since the beginning of time. The ancient Romans had to put up with it, our forefathers were working on an amendment to stop it, and Ghandi held peaceful protests about it.
Games get delayed, it's in their nature. Plus, it's a lot easier to tell the douche bags paying for the game to be made some erroneous date just to get them to shut up.

Well the fake released date in June sure shut me up. I was looking forward to gaming this in the summer. Now I will have throw my 360 in the rubbish bin, then come August 20-21st I will buy a new one, in order to play Bioshock. (My 360 just takes up too much room and was purchased solely for Bioshock, and Pacman on Xboxlive arcade, IT ROCKS)
Also how did you know about the ancient romans playing video games? I thought all they did for fun was go to the bath houses and the vomitoriums?

Without wanting to ask the obvious... Well... What the chuffing Hell is a vomitorium?!
I don't want to actually search the Internet for fear of what I may find. Just break it to me gently.

It's not as bad as it sounds:
(Rom. Antiq.) each of a series of passages for entrance and exit in an amphitheatre or theatre. http://dunlop.id.au/wotw/word.php?word=vomitorium

Romans used to feast and use this room to purge themselves, mid-meal, so they could essentially eat endlessly. Sounds kinda fun if you can get past the yacking part.

i don't want you bring into despair, but maybe Bx will be delayed again... it's possible... maybe they want to sell it for christmas and earn more $$$. whatever... at least they have more time for balancing, so we can play a perfect game.

don't call me a killjoy, but here is a more seriouse note on this topic. if IG/2k would push bioshock back into to end of the year, they would be very dumb, because Halo3 and GTA4 will also be released in the same time. and what we have seen so far, there can't be more than one or two megasellers in the holiday season. so I guess, bioshock would perish mainly because it's not mainstream enough.

No, I doubt it will be pushed back again. August 21st sounds to be nearly set in stone.:o
