just a bit curious. it doesnt need to be a bioshock dream but it can be if thats what you choose ("a free man chooses" :P).
i dont dream much (dont get technical i know we dream a lot and forget them but that doesnt count in my book) so i just want to know what dreams are like. last dream i remember was about a week ago and i was like in this underground world with some friends (it was like bioshock i guess) and we were a rescue squad and i had all of the same abilities as Tequila in Stranglehold and we had to rescue survivors from this underground utopia which is infested with zombies now. it was cool. lasted a long time. then i woke up. i had two mountain dew code reds befroe going to bed, leading mw to belive caffienee has an effect on dreams. i will try this later to confirm.
but yea. your dreams.. curious.

I dream a lot.
I'll usually remember them for a good while, but a week later I might have a hard time remembering the little details that made things so... special I guess.
If anyone's good at interpreting, feel free and have fun.
My best dreams have usually consisted of me winning a big sum of money. Corny, yep, but it was great lol
My scariest.. Gosh I have so many. Waking up in sweats is something that had become common overtime, moreso since I've moved to my new home. I like the new house, and I'm happy with my boyfriend, don't get me wrong, but I noticed a pattern in said dreams that has ended up creeping the hell out of me.
While we were still renovating the house, I had this weird dream that the boys (my boyfriend, his brother and his father) discovered two corpses in one of the walls. They refused to call the police and feared it would cost them too much money, so they decided to dig holes and dump the bodies in the middle of nowhere despite my protests.
Now fast forward a while later, and I've moved into the new house with my boyfriend. Life's good and all... and then I start having the occasional haunted house dream. By that I mean once, twice, sometimes three times a night since we've moved in. One time I dreamt the bathroom was crumbling and shrinking into itself and there was nothing we could do. Then I dreamt there were actual spirits in the house. Sometimes I could see them, sometimes I couldn't. Then later it moved to other places. I actually dreamt about my childhood home being haunted (which it was) but I went in anyways. I remember going in with the conviction that I could ignore the ghost so it would go away. I even said "Is that all you can do to scare me?" And that bone chilling laughter followed suit, then I woke up. This week, I had two of 'em dreams. One of them was in a old hotel me and my boyfriend were residing in for a week. We put on the television as loud as we could, trying to ignore the banging and laughter, etc... Then, just yesterday, I dreamt one of those ghosts was right by our bed, grinning down at me. I woke up with the covers over my head, trying to convince myself that it was all a dream, just a dream.
I also dreamt that someone was angry me and my boyfriend had bought the house, so that person had set up a ****load of traps in the house in hopes to kill us. One of them was some trap door that swelled into a cube which crushed people to death as it expanded. I witnessed two of my friends die horribly that way. I woke up after I got shot by gunfire. One in the leg, the other in the heart.
It doesn't SOUND scary when I say it, but the adrenaline rush is there no matter what, and I do get scared out of my wits.

Then the strangest dream I ever had...? Well I actually wrote that one down when it happened, and it still makes me go "WTF?!"
So here goes:
The first dream was probably the most graphicaly disturbing. I remember it being some sort of holiday, universal or not, where all the world leaders and a lot of important people gathered in our city. I also clearly recall the Pope was amonst them. Now... I don't know in which city I was. It was in Canada, but it looked more like New York then anything else, mostly because of that important statue in the middle of the river across the city. I never got to see the statue though, just the bottom of it at all times, but it clearly reminded me of the Liberty Statue. The visitors were to go pay a visit to this statue by taking a small bridge.
The bridge itself was very very small and made for humans only. It wasn't large and when you walked on it, it was so low on the water that it looked as if you were walking on the water. I recall opening the tv to see the event: instead of a parade, it was the big leaders, the important people, and the Pope walking to the statue. And then I saw them all sink. Thing is, they deliberatly walked into the water as if the bridge was sinking in, but instead of turning back, then kept going and disapeared in the water. It wasn't very long later that I learned that they had all drowned.
I recalled telling my father: "I saw it live. They thought they were to high and mighty that they could walk and hold their breath under water long enough to get to the statue and survive. That's stupidity and they deserved to die for it." But my dad looked surprised, not quite by the death deserving comment, but by how I had said it. He said "Didn't you hear the screams?" And of course, I wondered what he was talking about. I even said "It probably came from the watchers telling them to turn on their heals". He opened the tv, and since, yes, of course, it was the only talk on the news, the footage was passed again. Only this time it was different. They weren't walking down in calm water to drown, they were being taken down by the waves and what could have passed as small whales or monsters. So yes, I did hear the faint screams, as well as the screams by the people watching from shore, only as I listened, I realized the watchers weren't screaming in fear and panic, they were cheering. They were cheering as those people on the small bridge were being taken down and drowned and cut to pieces one by one.
Some time passed I think, because between that part and the next, I don't really remember much. But then I found out that body parts were being sold on EBay. A Pope's foot was being sold, then some president's finger... The guy was caught and hung. Then some friends came home with a large bloody rag and a body, set it on my bed and told me they were gonna make a fortune selling this corpse on the internet. As much as I argued though, the bets went high.. And I remember feeling so damned disgusted, then I woke up for the first time.
It was the middle of the night, so I fell right back asleep.
The second dream was not as unsettling. Nothing graphic, at least not too much. It was as if I was watching the scene from up close. There was no bridge for them to cross anymore, but they were in small boats, which were all attached together so no one would lose each other. When the waves started to hit them, some of the boats turned over, some didn't, but the people still in the boats desperatly tried to stir their boat to keep steady while the others turned. I mostly saw a japanese woman trying to get back on track for a long while, but eventually, she turned over like the others. I woke up for the second time.
Since it was still early, maybe six o'clock or so, I fell back asleep to the third and last dream.
This time, I was not about to see the event on tv, I was going to see it live and be part of the crowd watching them. It was a weird settlement. We were, technically, under a building, though outside, and above us were strangely designed cement beams. Under those beams was a large rock by the small beach which lead to the river where the leaders were being taken to the statue. Most of the watchers were standing on the large rock which pretty much stood through the whole beach. I think the leaders were still on the small boats.
As usual, the sky was heavilly covered and grey, and the water was pretty dark. So the killing began. But at first, it was not the waves that attacked them. It looked more like a large whale and a colorful dragon, both coming out of the water, attacking them, then going back into the water to disapear, then coming back. The people in the boats in the middle of the river screamed for help, while the watchers cheered each time the whale and the dragon took the leaders down. I recall asking a woman by my side - she looked like she was coming straight out of the 60s, with a bright pink dress and her blond hair put up like the girls back then with a pink ribbon. She reminded me of some fake candy girl - I asked her what those monsters were. She said something, it sounded like a foreign language. I had her repeat it, and again I couldn't understand. I eventually figured out the monsters were really the waves, just an illusion, and as soon as I did, all that attacked those leaders were the waves themselves and not the monsters. I thought about how horrible this was, how people cheered and didn't even try to help. Those people were important! World leaders, business men, the Pope, I mean, where was security? Why was there no helicopter trying to save them?! Someone laughed and said "OK ok... maybe we should try to help", but he laughed again and no one went. It was like a great holiday, watching people being torn to pieces and drowning, Because that's what they WERE: people. Then people began singing cheerilly while the high waves kept taking those people and rain began pourring, something like "Na na na na hey hey hey good bye!" and I thought that was disturbing enough and decided to leave. I climbed down the rock onto the beach toward the building, and saw two other people who had done the same. We looked at each other, all disgusted and I knew we were thinking the same thing.
Then a shadow covered me, and when I looked up, I saw one of the waves that had gone pretty high, but it fell down again. The second one though was twice as high and coming toward us. While looking up, I saw the cement beams and remembered seeing them floating along the drowned people and body parts in my second dream. I thought "****! ****! This one's gonna crash down on us!" so I ran back toward the building where the doors were opened wide to some stairs. I never ran so fast in my entire life. The singing and cheering people became quiet and I heard the wave hit behind me while I went up the stairs. And I ran up and up and up, and eventually reached another floor. I couldn't tell which one, but it was pretty high. I dared look back and no one had followed so I figured they had all been hit by the wave. On the floor, a few feet from me, I noticed another set of stairs going down. Water rushed up them, but it was a fine layer going up the stairs, completely defying gravity as it was, gushing passed my feet and back down the stairs I had just went up. There were people on that floor watching the news and what had just happened, laughing as well, clapping their hands too. They were all dressed in expensive suits as if they were working for the government or were lawyers. I recall thinking 'Plenty of body parts to sell on EBay now..." and I looked outside where it still pourred rain. The building was made of glass, and I knew that if another wave hit, the water would rush up the stairs much faster now, and the pressure was sure to break the glass, so if I didn't die of drowning I'd fall about twenty or thirty floors below into the street. I saw some water from the wave in the streets too.
And that's when I woke up for the third and last time...
So... how's that for weird? lol
I have a special imagination I guess LOL

Speaking as a psychology student, those are the tip of the iceberg.
Myself, I have a recurring dream where I walk outside. It's a sunny day, and there are children laughing and playing. The grass is green, the sky is blue, dandelions sing like a chorus and every person passing on the street gives me a chipper smile and waves.
I grin and promptly begin pointing at things. And everything I point at violently explodes, tearing all around it to shreds. I continue to smile, and everyone around me continues to laugh and smile and sing, applauding my senseless disregard for all life around me.
And it feels really, really, really great.
I would go in to more detail, but honestly it pales in comparison to the whole point of the dream being that whatever I point at explodes horrendously and everyone loves it.

I get those dreams where you're fist fighting someone you know, but your punches are very slow and seem to be dealing no HP damage whatsoever. I also get those dreams where you're free-falling off of extreme heights, and you can actually feel that sick feeling in your gut.
Once in a while I'll get one of those sad/mystic dreams that leave you waking up curious and going "Damn, if only I didn't wake up. I wonder what would've happened next."
I also used to have those erotic dreams where I'm making out with, or fixing to score with this chick, only to have myself wake up right when it gets good.
One thing I can't stand is when you have a really good dream, but then when you wake up you forget what it was about. And you spend the entire day trying to remember what the Hell your dream was about.

There's ways to train your brain into remembering.
Something that helps (and I've tried it) is to go to bed with the thought that you will remember your dreams. You can actually say it aloud, then go to sleep on the thought. It might not work the first few nights, but eventually you'll get enough flashes once you woke up to remember what you had last dreamed about.

Hahaha! There's nothing magical about recalling your dreams. :P It's just about telling your brain that you want to remember your dream.
And if it IS witchcraft, then I'll be damned. I wish I could do better witchcraft then just recalling my dreams. lol

Actually, there's a specific term, called 'lucid dreaming'. It refers to people who can not only remember dreams, but control them. There's a very small percentage of people who can fully control their dreams, but some can influence them in certain ways-sway the narrative, for example.

I cant controll what dream i have but sometimes i can controll what i am doing in the dream. i often have dreams when im fighting someone and im doing hell hardcore backflip kicks and all this sick kung-fu stuff and kicking them in the balls but it doesnt seem to take any effect.
I also get INTENSE dayjavoo (i dont know how to spell it) i may seem wierd and you probably wont believe me but to a certain extent, whyle im having the dayjavoo i know whats going to happen in the future, such as, i suddenly realise im having it and then ill be like to myself "oh, a red car is going to go around the corner" or "i amgoing to look over there at that hole on the wall next" although i usually know what is going to happen next, i can never seem to change it.

As a general rule when I dream, there is no real narrative and no real theme. There is not a storyline that can be followed, just random images and sounds. Except when I am ill, then I have dreams that I imagine a machine would have ie. spending a long frustrating night altering patterns of lines of light with the aim of clearing them all or reconfiguring circuits or wiring.
Recently though I did have a dream with a narrative but I have no idea what it says about my psychology.
It started with me in a pub, and next to the bar nailed to a wall as a display piece is a feejee mermaid. This creature looks at me and I can see its skin moving in a grotesque way, then it speaks in a voice resembling a gremlin (not the cute furry mogwai, but the green slimy gits) and all it says over and over is "machu pichu, machu pichu, machu pichu!" So it thinks to myself, "aww, poor little bugger wants to go back to Peru." so I take it down from the wall, smuggle it out of the pub and fly to Peru with it. We get to a small village and the ugly little critter turns into a stunning woman who finds her family then promptly ignores me, so I just get back on the plane.

I recently had a dream where I was waiting in line to get a drink of water. My environment appeared to be a classroom. While I was waiting in line there was this very cute woman behind me, I believe I began to socialize with her, but I can't remember clearly. Then all of a sudden my mouth is wide open, and she sneezes into my mouth twice, and I actually enjoyed it. Mystical, isn't it? It was then my turn to get a drink of water, except instead of drinking from the usual water fountain. I found myself drinking water from a stapler. Even more mystic, right? The stapler must somehow be designed to compress water into it, because it was shooting out an awful lot.

Sounds an awful lot like your dog was cleaning your mouth out in your sleep.
I think the strangest dream I have had is this dream that has repeated several times. First time I had it was when I was 8. Long before I started thinking about the end of the world.:
I am in the middle of nowhere, which appears to be Kansas, in this strange farmhouse.
There is a news report about the end of the world, then me and people I have never seen before go outside, and things are exploding, with a bunch of odd symbols in the sky surrounded by shooting stars. It goes for a long time while we just sit there watching, then there is a huge explosion and I wake up.
I had it fairly recently, and went ahead and looked up some of the symbols I saw (Which I had never seen before), and most of them existed, some were chinese symbols, others were from the ancient greeks.
Again, I had never seen these symbols before, and when I started having them was long before I knew anything about the ancient greeks or chinese. To my knowledge, everyone either spoke latin, spanish, or english.
Most of my other dreams are quite odd, and seem more based on my subconscious. Every time I start having vivid gorey nightmares, I realize they are dreams and get control really fast. This is one of them: A giant demon could be eating people, and I would point at him and watch him puke out all the people he ate then have his head explode.

wow how long did it take you to type all that... and you really do have sick dreams...
If you're talking about me... about half an hour. Writing and drawing is something I do for a living... to a point anyways. I do hope to actually write and illustrate my own books. ;)
I guess I do have sick dreams. Or at least, very strange. All in all though, I'm rarely weirded out when I wake up. I actually like recalling them and writing some details down so I can use them for stories later. I mean think about it. That dream about the 2 dead bodies in the walls could make for one good mystery novel! ;) haaha
My thoughts is that everybody had extremely weird dreams, but we choose to forget the worst details when we wake up.
Also, since I wrote this, I haven't had many ghost like dreams or dreams where my house was falling apart, which is great in a way. I'm not crazy about ghost dreams ;)
I just have a wild imagination. Even since I was a kid I dreamt about strange things, so maybe I'm just used to it? lol

The worst details in my dreams are the ones I remember. I write down any one that seems an anyway important.

The most screwed up dreams I ever had involved tons of people getting killed.. but I never had a dream that really scared me. Though I did have a dream that ended with me banging my head on a milk crate full of books.
I was 13 and I was obsessed with playing quake2... Had a dream that I was jumping around in "the edge" and fell off in the center of the map and "cratered" as it's called... The precise second this happened in the dream, I rolled off my bed and slammed my head against the crate. Special stuff.

Hahaha! You know, my father dreams all the time, and will often talk, move, even sleepwalk. One night he dreamed an arrow had been shot at him and he couldn't move in time to avoid it. Result? He slammed his head on the corner of his night table, and for a moment, really thought he had an arrow stuck in his head ;) haha!
