The "Sounds of Rapture" article on Cult of Rapture has me confused. The sounds listed as effects for the Gene Bank consist of player piano style renditions of circus music. This makes perfect sense for the clown faced shopping kiosks, but seems hardly fitting for a giant hypodermic syringe on a robot arm.

Is this a mistake in naming the audio links and files? (The link refers to gene bank, while the file names refer to plasmid.) Are these sounds intended for the clown dispenseries? Have the gene bank and clown kiosks been combined into a giant clown with a hypodermic syringe in his robot arm?

Or will you ride on a carousel as you swap out your killer bees for incineration plasmids?

Why do I think that Ken does the voice for some of the clown machines?

This whole game has a circus/carnival atmosphere, if it were music, I'm sure it'd be great avant jazz ;).

remember we'll have plasmids, physicaltonics, engineering tonics, combat tonics, so don't know at all now what kind/how many will be "distibutors"...
I think...

That's because he does. Though at one point I think he said his voice might be temporary, and replaced with someone else's. But it looks like it's still there in the finished game.

I kind of prefered the sounds from the orginal plasmi-quik from the first showing of the game it wasnt as long and perky just a functional 5 beat tune

*sigh* I miss the old stuff about BioShock... but I have faith that the new things (gene bank, health bar, little sister voice, music, plasmid pictures, ect.) will all somehow come togeather and make the game that I have been hoping for. Sorry to troll, but I am a bit confused as to why some of the things have been scraped... Can somebody reassure me?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Camp_%28style%29

Camp is an aesthetic in which something has appeal because of its bad taste or ironic value. A lot of the aesthetics of BioShock, I've seen since the beginning, follow this style. It's hard to explain... you're not supposed to like this, but this what makes you enjoy it, I know this makes no sense so just read the Wiki article.

Things have been changed, but the general idea of those are the same and they work the same as well.

And more on the camp style of the game, you can even see it in the names of sections, "Medical Pavillion", "Fort Frolic", as well as some of the plot ideas, the guy who wants to be a Picasso with people's faces... The horror in the game is quirky and outlandish, queasy if you will.
