When I was having Shiv Isle installation problems and getting advice I emailed SecuROM, Liked them the forum I posted and within 24 hours they linked me to get the correct .exe. All I can say is WOW I didn't see that coming after being treated like crap by so many companies you kinda get slapped when one helps you out.

I remember somewhere in 2005/2006 there was a problem with SecuROM and Serious Sam 2. The developers suggested that people should e-mail SecuROM with the logfile. It turns out that there were problems with SecuROM and newer HDDs, so the people at SecuROM sent back fixed .exe files. It is possible that this problem still exists in newer versions. In any case, if you have a problem with SecuROM, your best course of action is e-mailing SecuROM (with as much information provided as possible, such as your system specs and log files) or e-mailing the publisher should the first fail.

All I can say is I'd be ticked if it took me an additional 24 hours to install a game because of a copy-protection issue with my legitimately purchased copy.

Lol, I can spot two problems I'd have with installing Bioshock:
1) SecuRom (Your computer is ours now; btw, did you read the nice article about the 3-year existing security flaw that allows malware to escalate their system privileges and bypass virus-scanners etc.)
2) DRM-crap (I buy the game -> I own a copy of the game, I can gift or sell the game again. NOT I buy the game -> I may play if 2k Games allows me, at their leisure, giving it away in any form involves jumping though more loops than I can count)
