Hya everyone here.

I'm unable to load Arcadia level.
Everytime the game crashes with the same error message regarding Bioshock.exe file.

I read a lot of posts around here but how to solve this one?
I mean, is it a Bioshock bug? is it a driver crash? What?
I installed the newest driver version of everything on my Pc and I also tried with different video set up in game, from lowest to windowed mode.
My configuration.
P IV 2.8ghz
1.5GB Ram
ATI X1600pro 512Mb
XP SP2

Thanks in advance

Try to download the latest Direct X update. This can be downloaded from the link below.

Please right click on "My Computer" and choose "Properties",
Then choose the "Advanced" tab,
Then choose the "Settings" tab under "Performance" option,
Then choose the "Advanced" tab again,
Now under "Virtual Memory" click "Change",
Choose the option " system managed size" and then click "Set",
Now apply the changes and restart the PC.

Does this help?

does it happen during loading? if so, load from the previous save and see if that works. if so, save frequently (every 2 minutes or so) and see if it CtDs again. if it does, go back thru your saves and find the one that finally lets you load. when you find it, try to do something extraordinarily different than the first time you played thru and got the crash. that's how i got past my arcadia CtD, but now i'm stuck with a very similar problem in farmers market. hope this helps (hope ANYTHING helps you...)

It is worthwhile trying kornesque's suggestion here.

With previous drivers disabling high detail shaders has helped with other level transistions so it may be worthwhile if all other troubleshooting fails.

Please let us know how you get along with the suggestions made.

Hya mates.

I really appreciate your effeort regards my problem.
Maybe I'm not so lucky, anyway, I tried to go back and save in different place, restarting also the level before Arcadia. Nothing, same crash, on Arcadia loading when loads the third picture...same error, memory read, 0x000000000.
Believe me, I'm thinking about to uninstall this game.
Thanks.

The Arcadia crash is caused by the nocd crack, revert to the original exe and put the DVD in the drive.

It might be worth backing up your save games and reinstalling the game in case the installation has become corrupt. The saves are located in

C:\Documents and settings\<Username>\My Documents\BioShock
