View Full Version : 2K support is awful
I bought Jade Empire off of Steam in the beginning of July. The game will not function because the Config Utility crashes during the scanning phase. It is October now and my game still won't function. Read below:
2K support has been simply awful... I had to wait for a month before I heard contact from their support after I was told I would be passed to level 2 support when I went through all of level 1's scripts. The contact that I got after the month was NOT level 2, but level 1 again. Weeks between contact were normal, no updates are ever given to confirm the issue is still being worked on. 2K Support now has me redoing troubleshooting steps already taken. I still have not been contacted by level 2 support.
My final email to support has gone unanswered:
Why is it that I have waited for nearly a month without any form of contact or update (again!)? This has been unresolved for 3 months now, and I was told I would bumped to 2nd level well over a month ago, only to have the first level support have me repeat steps we'd already tried before instead of 2nd level contacting me. If you guys are unable or unwilling to get me a fix in a reasonable time period, I want my money back. Waiting for a quarter of a year to play a game that I paid full retail for doesn't sit well. What is going on?

you make it sound like you can actually do something Liz,
All we get is emails saying come and complain here on this forum.
how dare a company tell us to come and complain on a forum in public
when our issues might be personal and private they just dont give a crap.

of course i can do something! i overnighted him a copy of jade empire. since i haven't heard back from him since i sent it last week, i assume everything is fine and he's happily playing. :p

Oh, and also... securom protection on this game will not allow me to make a backup copy. I wanted to get some of the convenience of Steam back by just dumping the ISO into a virtual drive so I didn't have to bother with CD swapping, but securom blocks this. Incredibly irritating, and it makes legitimate backups worthless which is doubly irritating.

Do you talk to Firaxis too? Could you tell them that there are people that would love to see a new patch for Railroads!? Please? I don't think 2K's support is awful, you guys listen to us, so for that I thank you. I just wish Firaxis would make a new patch for Railroads! if they have time. 2K is probably my favorite game PUBLISHER with Firaxis being my favorite developer. I think 2K's games and support staff are great.

I just wish Firaxis would make a new patch for Railroads! if they have time. 2K is probably my favorite game PUBLISHER with Firaxis being my favorite developer. I think 2K's games and support staff are great.

Great, thanks. I'd really like to see Windows Vista support! If Firaxis needs ideas, please mention that they can look at www.hookedforums.com under Sid Meier's Railroads! for ideas.

I'd really like to see tenders without a mod. I know it'd be hard to implement with a patch, but I'd like to be able to control the train that is focused on by the camera. A new locomotive would be nice.

you might want to list your specs, because railroads does work with vista. there might be some other compatibility problem.
as for patches, i don't believe we'll have any for railroads any time soon, if ever.
