A question about Steam, OJ box, and TF2

Like many, I have pre-ordered the Orange Box on Steam (it's my first time using steam btw). Everything is good, I download the package, but then some odd (or is it normal?) happened. On the list of things downloading on steam it said Halflife 2, Episode One, Lost Coast, Peggle, and Team Fortress Two. I didn't go anywhere else to get the beta, and under Non released it only had episode 2 and portal. So when
Oj box is officially release what will happen? Will my Team Fortress beta just update through a patch? Will a new download pop up? I'm just wondering if this is normal.

That's normal. HL2, Episode 1, TF2 beta, etc. are all released, and Ep2 and Portal haven't been released yet, that's why they show up as unreleased. And yes, Team Fortress 2 should simply update once the beta is complete.

The Orange box is officially released on the 10th October - still a few days until we get the games.

Valve might do a pre-load scheme - allow you to install it a couple of days before, then activate it on the day
