What exactly was the nature of your problem? It may not be the sound causing the problem. What are all of your system specs?

Can anyone tell me how to run the game with sound totally disabled?That's hilarious. Untold numbers of users are complaining about having no audio in the game, and you actually want it that way :)

Are you saying that you're getting audio with pops and crackles, like so many of the rest of us? If so, fiddle with the options on your game's audio options. Specifically, I've found that if I set it to 5.1, I lose audio in the game. Really, though, you should follow all of the voodoo tactics in the Official sound issues thread (http://forums.2kgames.com/forums/showthread.php?t=10663) to see if you're one of the lucky ones for whom one of them works before you resort to disabling the audio.

Lol i dont want to play with the sound off. I was trying to find out why my game keeps skipping or pausing every few seconds.

I have figured something out. As far as i can tell it will only happen when i load a saved game. So if i start a new game it wont skip no matter how far i get. Not untill i save and close the game then when i start up the game and load my game it starts skipping again. What do i do?

And by the way i took a guess and found out that -nosound makes the game play with no sounds just FYI.

I just remembered that when i started my new game i used the quicksave and quickload and it didnt start skipping. So to make it skipp it seems to require that i fully exit the game and then load my save game. Then it will start skipping. This is really annoying and confusing.
