SPOILERS - Game won't finish - Sister will not go to test subject 2!

Hi All;

Amazing Game, can't wait to play it again, except that it will not complete.

I am at the (I think) end, where I am escorting the little sister into the Big Daddy training area. I follow (Guard) her to the first test subject, fight of the splicers as she harvests, and then, and then, she just stands there and tells me to hurry up, again and again and again. I have reloaded that level about 15 times trying to get her to proceed, but she will not. I have left her there for upwards of 30 minutes and she will not proceed. What am I doing wrong? Every time I reload I get different number of splicers attacking while she harvests, sometimes only one will attach, sometimes up to 5 or 6, but no matter what she does not proceed after harvesting test subject number 1.

HELP.

You either need to kill her (sad I know) or let her get killed.

There migh even be some splicers that spawned, but weren't triggered to attack you, which I assume is needed for advancement.

Maybe try to telekenisis things out of her way? She might be stuck.

Same thing happened to me. I tried everything to trigger her but in the end I had to just go back to a previous save.

Well, I can't kill her, or save her as she is still supposed to go to at least 1 more test subject, so she is invulnerable to me. I have used every power and weapon there is, and run back and forth over the whole lever as much as I can, all to no effect. I don't think I have gone to a previous save, I think I just restarted the most recent save, I'll try another save tonight and see what happens.

Odd. You playing on PC or 360?

If 360 try changing the difficulty settings and try again. Other than that I can't really suggest much. If you can replay the level, escort her a while, let her get killed and then bang on a different L/S vent to spawn a different L/S.

I'm playing on PC. Will try lettin L/S number 1 get whacked and see if replacement is better.

Well nothing works, I simply cannot finish the games as L/S will not leave testing station # 1.

Guess I'll start over again.

Try just starting from the autosave.

Don't you have to activate the station or something.... I think I remember pulling a lever, but I cant go check for you (Red Ring) right before Halo 3:eek: .

Well I have tried from the autosave, from my save, from an earlier save, nothing works.

I did not see any lever anywhere by the test station or anything else that I can interact with, she takes about 5 minutes to Harvest, then stands there and tells me to hurry up. Sometimes when I try it again I only get one or two splicers attacking, sometimes I get 7 or 8 of them attacking while she is harvesting, sometimes I can hear them coming but they never appear. I even let the first one get whacked by the splicers, hoping that # 2 would be more eager to get the job done and go but to no avail, and L/S # 2 ends up being invulnerable so I cannot try for L/S # 3. All very weird. Especially with so many people reporting technical problems, this is the only issue of any kind I have had with this game it runs nice and smooth on my computer, never crashes or hangs up or has slowdowns, looks amazing, has made me jump out of my seat a few times, it is incredible.

I am just going to start again from the beginning and hope it works this time.

Sometimes, the tech staff here play save files if you send it in. They might be able to take a look at it. I don't think they respond to PMs unless they have sent you one first though.

I feel your pain, its so annoying when a game does this to you and theres NOTHING YOU CAN DO, and every time you get a ray of hope IT DOESEN'T WORK.

Only thing I can suggest that hasen't been suggested is hunt down all the splicers in the level, she only moves when the "ambush" ends so perhaps one of the ambush party has got stuck on something?

They wont spawn...they need the L/S to spawn as a trigger at set points.

Jeez, sorry buddy, but I think it's a complete replay of the level, perhaps as well before. Save often.:mad:
