Bioshock crashes on launch

I purchased bioshock today on direct2drive. When i try to open it the screen goes black for a moment then crashes.
my sound cards and video cards are

sound: soundblaster live 24 bit

Video: Diamond S9250PCI256 DDR

If i'm correct they should meet the minimum requirements

any help would be greatly appreciated.

The problem is down to the video card you have Diamond S9250PCI256 DDR.
This is ATI Radeon 9250 , the minimum supported ATI video graphic card is the Radeon x1300 or higher ( not x1550)
