I agree with you about the Wii. I think once the novelty of the controller wears thin, what else does it have going for it? I played the Gamecube version of Zelda and it was pretty good; The new Metroid looks like it's just more of the same; I've kind of outgrown the Mario series; And Resident Evil is no longer a Nintendo exclusive. So unless something really unique comes along, I don't think I'll pick one up. But you never know.

On the other hand, I will have to disagree with you about the Xbox. The 360 is quite an impressive machine. Just when I think that it's running out of steam, along comes Gears of War, GRAW2 and pretty soon, Bioshock. And there are plenty of other good games to play, too.

Much like yourself, I'm in the same predicament. (sp?) I also have a PS3 and would really like to use it one of these days. But where are all the games? Resistance was really good, but not great. Call of Duty 3 was good, too. I'm a little disappointed to hear about Warhawk, but only a little. Other than that, I'm hoping that I can use it to play God of War 2 at least. I think the console has a lot of potential and I'm sure we'll see more (great) games soon. It's the waiting I could do without.

PS3 vs. 360 discussions are sooo useless. In my opinion, both machines don't really differ in power that much, so its just the online service, the controller and the companies behind them, who are really different.

It could never hurt to have it release on an additional platform.

However, your attitude about other platforms "sucking" is retarded schoolyard stupidity. Every platform has their merits and there's bound to be fun titles on each -- I would enjoy seeing third party games available across all platforms possible, with only the 1st party titles being exclusive.

Each console has something different for everyone. I am happy with my xbox360, I have friends happy with their wii machines and their super state of the art gaming computers. I am O.K. with them enjoying themeslves on different platforms, so why just hate on other platforms without justification? There is no reason to go double posting and flaming other systems negatively just because your bitter about things out of your control. Things in your control might be having patience to see if it ends up going to PS3 or if you really want BioShock as bad as you make it seem, to save up the money and buy anyother medium to play it on. $400 really isnt that much when you consider you have until at least August 21 before the game is even available state-side. Twenty-Five bucks a week outta your allowance will get you an Xbox360 and BioShock easy.

I can't agree here more; reaching a broader audience can do nothing but help encourage more creative and intelligent game designs overall, and aid in ceasing the regurgitation of mainstream ideas into uninspired stories and game elements we have seen far too many times before.

I voted yes (as long as they focus on the PC implementation first). With PCs, you have a myriad of hardware it needs to be able to run on, so it'll have selectable settings. When they decide to port it over, they can pick or tweak the settings to work with the known hardware configuration of whatever console they choose. I think they should port it at least to make a couple of extra bucks.

You have a special place on that big special yellow bus that you love to ride. Xbox 360 is way better than the PS3 so far, and the Wii is pretty cool sometimes also. PS3 is a cool system, but does not deserve Bioshock. Although if it were released on PS3 and 360, it would be interesting to compare the two versions. Although the 360 would probably have way cooler special effects.

in principle, yes it should be released on as many platforms as possible (for reasons relating to the game-makers' cashflow). BUT, the way you make out the wii and 360 to be sucky is irrespectful and downright rude

i have played both the 360 and the wii (i own a wii), but not the ps3 (as i cannot afford it since i build myself a computer). playing the 360 is fun.. the controller is perfect to grip, the 360 has great graphics (better than anyone would care to admit they can actually tell a difference between 7~~p and 1080p on current household HD-TVs).
My wii is a great party system, intuitive and fun controls, some decent games will be coming (MP3, Smash:brawl for example).

both the wii and 360 are WAY cheaper than the ps3, and are better established in the market.
with regard to the sucky claims pushed against the wii in particular:
doesn't the sixaxis have motion detection? where did sony get this idea come from? obviously, if sony is trying to copy nintendo in control ideas, then nintendo must be doing something right. right?
sometime i may play a ps3, but I'm happy with my rig, and my pc occupies most of my time (and more when i finally get Hl2).

I got actually all the systems and it seems 360 is more intertaining (I think its because it was out longer because its game list sucked for awhile)
ps3 will be like 360 was for awhile I think and maybe level up somem but 360 has a large title range that coming and out that I dought ps3 will match, wii well I got it for brawl and no more heros game, ( actually I won my 360 out of a stacker arcade game on accident by smaking the buttons which I guess was still in play from some previouse player who must have gotten mad and left XD)

seriously, i haven't found my wii very buggy in the least. well, not while playing games.
the control scheme for a Bx port to wii would either make the game incredible, of break the game so much that it wouldnt be playable.
an example for the former is metroid prime 3, where the playtesters are going "w00t, ever since this game got the expert controls, this game is awesome to play!!!".
an example for the latter is red steel, which i was going to get at launch, but then i saw the ratings and how reviewers were saying the control scheme was "claustrophobic". so i never bought RS.

the only problem would be the graphics, and perhaps any on-screen text; but the wii remote control would allow for non linear combat, as in shooting above and below, etc..

Graphics alone would slaughter the wii so terribly the game wouldn't be playable in the slightest. You'd have to shore up the graphics so hard it would lose it's next-gen feel, and subsequently a lot of the atmosphere of the game.

The wii is a "fun" system, but please don't forget that it is essentially a repackaged gamecube with a motion sensor controller.

PS3 isn't a bad system at all, in terms of power the 360 and ps3 are essentially even, the architecture is slightly different and that's where all the nerd-gasming and nerd-displays while nerds battle over who the alpha nerd is, comes from. Back to Back though both systems are essentially even in terms of overall capability, All sony has to do is get releasing games.

It's pretty pointless to say one system is better than the other at this point. Overall ratings, quality of games, sales, all these things can't be evenly interpreted until the libraries are much more even.

Regardless though you can certainly the say the Wii is last in terms of power, in fact it's pretty much last in terms of gen. too.

Yes, sony's arrogance is costing them, it seemed to me in a few of the feature vidoes I watched of the PS3 it spent more time saying what the XBOX 360 couldn't do than what PS3 could.
