Or panties, if you're a girl. :) I think one of my most "Jesus CHRIST!" moments was when the plaster-ish statues in Fort Frolic randomly came alive. Especially when I was in this room underneath the stairs with a safe. There was a plaster statue in a chair facing the corner, and in order to hack the safe, you have to turn your back to it. When I finished hacking and turned around, I heard water splattering and the figure was gone. I kind of panicked in-game and spun in a circle, cussing. :o

thats nice. the first time i jumped is when those "farm memories" just randomley popped up when i was walking around.

This didnt scare me so much as weird me the hell out. In fort frolic when you walked into like a closet and a bunch of statues led up to this guy grining staring at the door with the bunny ear mask on the counter and the tape recording was sander screaming about not getting the ears off. At the part i back into a corner with the shotgun terrifed and thinking somthing was gonna run at me from the closet.

There's a bit in level 1 where you are facing a desk to pick up an item...when you turn around there's a guy *right* behind you. I wish I could be more specific, but it scared the crap out of the first, second [and counting] time.

I remember that! When you first get the Wrench Jockey, I think. You see his shadow in front of you and turn around and he just stands there all creepily.

actualy le tme take that back, i wasnt ready for the houdin splicer when i first faced him (wasnt ready as in i didnt know he could teleport) so when i got in a fight with one and he disapeared i was liek "so i guess thats what happens when those ones die" then all of the sudden he reapears right in my face and scares the livin hell out of me. (this was late at night/early in the morning :D)

The game isn't scary at all. I'm not saying that because "I THINK I'M 'ARD!" but because it really waan't.

F.E.A.R and Doom 3 were scary...a bit...in places...but not this. IMO anyway :).

My most memorable (Oh shi-!) during my first time through was when Cohen makes the biosphere dive and that huge bunny mask came out, i saw the first plaster'd splicers I had to pause the game and go watch cartoons to calm myself down.
I basically had to go watch cartoons a lot in this game during the first half of it. This game spooked the **** out of me.

!!! that did scare me too. I backed up and just watched and was like "...wtf?..." I think i said that out loud too.

That first Houdini freaked me out too, with that crazy mask and everything... he killed me, and then started yelling "Oh no, the splicers, the splicers!" in this really sarcastic, mocking tone... that just pissed me off, so when I reloaded I ran right up into his face and force fed him some exploding buck.

He was pretty quiet after that.

Mine was when you go down the stairs by the spirits place in fort frolic. You know where it says "more items downstairs!"? And you hack the safe and turn around and instead of a maniquin theres two plastered splicers on the far side of the room.:eek: I was afraid to go over there but i did and i killed those splicers.And i turn around cause i missed the tonic and theres two more over there! And so i go over there and kill them and i turn around to go out of there and theres another on in place of a maniquin. And to make a long story short i kept on turning around and killing splicers till there where no more maniquins left.:)

:eek: The most scary part that I have experience is when I was exploring the Medical Pavilion whn I burn a splicer with Incinerate, the splicer runned to the stairs and accidentaly touched a Big Daddy but I didnt noticed that until he just killed me from behind with no ware.:eek:

when i was in haspenus (however you spell it) i saw a dead splicer though to myself "ooh a dead splicer i be he's got some cash or ammo on him"
as soon as i got close enough the little sod jumped up at me and yelled "booga booga booga"
scared the crap out of me so much so that in my panic the only thing i could do was throw a "hypnotise big daddy" plasmyd at him.... this didnt work and he killed me
i reloaded and when i saw him again i introduced him to my friend "mr frag grenade"

Although I don't have the whole game yet (I played it at an Internet/360 Cafe a week back) I did have one moment which made me jump, but isn't thats cary in the eyes of others. I was in the Medical Pavillion near the beginning of the game and went into one of the Doctors Offices. They're was a mini-river on the left side of the room where the corpse slides down. When I went to the river the lights went out and I thought this isn't good. A doctor there was working on a dead patient, but then vanished. As I went back, the Doctor jumped out of the closet and I am like "WHOA DAMN".

Another part I saw (when my friend was having a go, don't know if it was the same level) was when you went into the Dentists Office, you'd search his desk, and when you turned around the Dentist would stare you in the face.

Those are my moments.

When your in the dentist office and you walk into a room and the cold mist clouds you view then clears up and nothing is there..you walk over to a desk to search it then the mist comes back and when you turn around there is a freaky splicer dentist standing right there! :eek: Boo! scared the crap out of me! I love this game.

This wasn't thwe wort scare but it is the first, I was playing the demo the first time and got to the biosphere bit and because of a magazine article was waiting for a dead body to come out of nowhere so when the andrew ryan intro screne slid up I fell out of my chair. Yeah, I was scared of a screen.

The first Houdini splicer. I genuinely thought he needed help, and ran round the corner following him, only for him not to be there. Then I was freaked out, when he screeched "Behind you monster!" and bam, I was dead.

I wet my pants constantly when I play Bioshock. Pretty much whenever a splicer comes on screen I have to go for a change! :eek: ;)

the part after you get frozen, and you walk up to one of the staues and it unfrezzes and dissappers scared the crap out of me, also when you first get the shotgun and the lights go out and you have to fight a bunch of people with barly any light was scary.

I was in Fort Frolic and I had I either lvl2 or lvl3 swarm plasmid. Well, a few splicers came after me, so I used it and then ran off into that strip club. Nobody was inside, and I was just looking around for items and such in the main area.

I then hear this big crash from the distance followed by loud bangs (which were like a split second between each other). All sounds stopped for a few seconds, and then I hear them pick back up again. They get closer and closer and all of a sudden I hear the door opening. I turn around to see a bigass big daddy named "the bouncer" doing his charge thing at me (which hurt a lot by the way). At first I thought he came because I got on the stage of the pole dancing club that I was in (bouncer making sure I wasn't going in the wrong area?), but then I saw the bees swarming him.. A few seconds later I'm dead because I was in no way prepared to fight a big daddy, especially with like 1 health pack.

It scared the **** out of me. I wasn't at all expecting a big daddy because I hadn't touched one. After that part, I rarely used swarm again, lol.

Yeah, the "attacks everything" tonics/plasmids kind of become problematic when there's a Big Daddy around. Especially the Static Discharge. I hate it when stupid splicers hit me and we happen to be nearby a Big Daddy, who also gets a little jolted and then turns on me murderously.

1. I was fighting off the waves of Splicers in the lab in Arcadia when I went around a corner and someone jumped out at me. I shot him in the face. Turns out it was a Rosie. We just stared at each other for a few seconds, then I tried to run away and she killed me.

2. I was checking out a box in Arcadia when I saw a shadow on the wall. I turned around and there was a Houdini standing there. He said "Howdy" and then exploded in a shower of blood.

Man... I hated that part in the medical pavillion when you get WJ and that doctor is right behind you... My friend and I both cussed the loudest I think we ever have. Then we watched tv to calm down.

secondly it wasnt scary or anything just made me jump as i wasnt expecting it. It happend over a period of an hour in the Farmers Market, i was going down the stairs in the final part and there was a electric trap set so as you do i removed it and then replaced it and carried on my way, after walking about a bit and getting all the water and upgrading my weapon i started hearing this loud thumping from upstairs and thought nothing of it, a few minture later it was getting louder and louder and i new it was a daddy but i guessed it was fighting someone else as i did nothing to it, so on my way back up i get smacked from behind and die, i wasnt expecting it so it was a jumpy moment, the stupid daddy had walked into the trap that was set which wasnt mine and took everything out on me :mad:
