I DO NOT WANT THIS TO TURN INTO ANOTHER 360 VS PS3 THREAD!
I want to know more from a wise customer's view point. Which gets more bang for its buck. I really don't have any idea about Zunes except there aren't like 50 different sizes which makes it more of something I would like, takes confusion out of shoping (more of a nuetral type thing, just something that I sorta respect). Also they all have screens which can be good, rather than having to pay for and 80gb iPod because they expect you to use that much, you can just use a 30gb Zune which saves you a bit of money. How is the Zune battery? I was just thinking about how I hate having to charge my iPod Mini so friggen often, so I was thinking about my next music player being a Zune. Also I want to know about how the downloading process is. Is it a program you download like iTunes? I really have no idea about how it works. Any info you guys think is improtant to compair and contrast the two is great. I want to know which one you guys think is the better chioce from an ECONOMIC view point, not a FANBOY rave.

Well we can all benifit from this I guess lol
If you want a cheep Mp3 player get a Creative brand. They do REALLY REALLY well in sound and music software. They (I think) have the GTX 8800 equivilent in sound cards (although I no longer have a computer that I can use for gaming, and I am hoping for a 360 sometime in the fall)
I think I got my first one for only abou t $40! I still have it, and it still works
but I lost the battery cover and the battery keeps falling out
but yeah, it is a very dependable brand

Well, it really depends on what you want. Do you want to watch videos, or do you want to mainly listen to music. Because if you want to mainly listen to music, and use your MP3 player for, say college, and working out, I would recommend the Cowon iAudio U3. It has 2 GB, which is plenty for listening to music, it's small so you can use it for running, it uses a Flash drive instead of a Harddrive like the ipod, which prevents your music from skipping (if you do rigorous activities), has fm and am radio, can record stuff (good for college), does not require extra programs like itunes, plays alot of files, adding files is as simple as click and drop, and lots of other features. And if you really wanted to, you can still watch movies, except the screen is really small. And the sound quality is better than the ipod, especially bass wise.
I know this because I used to own a iaudio, except I accidently washed it (because it was quite small) so I couldn't use it anymore. And now I have an ipod only because of the aftermarket products because the Cowon Iaudio is not that well known. About the zune, I have no idea because I never tried it. However, seeing some reviews, the Ipod is said to bet better than the Zune.

And by the way, right now I have the 20gb Ipod that can watch videos. I think 20 GB is good if you are an avid listener to music, as I have already used more than have of that for music. Take note, the software itself for Ipod uses like 2 gigs.

Zune is one sad, sad name, sounds like a bunch of old microsoft dinosaurs trying to make something hip and trendy for the kids....sounds really bad

I have a zune and love it. its 30 gigs, and i have about 5,000 songs on mine right now lol, and 3 movies. i love it. my friends have ipods, but i wanted to get out of that trend of everyone buying an ipod, so i started a zune trend at my school pretty much.
