What do you think will happen on Bioshock when you die? Do you think it will be similar to SS2 were you had to activate a bio-reconstruction device which would ressurect you if you died in that area? I really wanna know how its gonna work.

hmm i dunno... i think you will kinda die (if you are that bad ;) ) and then hit the quick load button. i think it's the best way to do it... i really disliked prey for the "archer-action" to bring you back to life...

Probably the game will reload your last quicksave. However, I would like to see a crooked view of a Little Sister hopscotching her way over to collect Adam out of you (skippable death sequence of course). Undying employed different death sequences for each monster that killed Patrick, it was a quaint little touch.

Maybe they could say a line or two orver your corpse even.

Agreed. While it's possible they could implement some kind of bio-reconstruction or something, I think for this particular game it will be much better for the believability of the gameworld if death is a possibility.
Although in Thief3 I thought it was cool that the first time you 'died' you actually woke up in the local prison. :D

That was fun in Thief 3. In fact everytime I play through I pick a point in the game, saunter over to the citywatch, moon them and lead them in a game of ring around the block until capture so that I can play the prison level.
To expand upon what I said early, another facet of this idea could be in the use of a potential 'fake-death' plasmid, which lowers the metabolic rate of the player to a near coma, then when the LS comes to get your Adam, just as she is about to plunge it in.....*yoink*.....player hightails it out of there with her Adam syringe.

I think that idea has alot of potental, I would love to have something like that, be great for getting out of working. It would be great for escaping from splicers, except I suspect that they are cannibals, I which case it wouldnt work so well
I hope you will see your own ragdoll body when you die. I really missed that in HL2
with the game going to be all dinamic and not scripted it eiter has to be the ss2 or restart teh map.

Maybe every load-zone is a quicksave point as with RE4.

Hatesink, in one of the QAs they confirm that the game's save system is anywhere, anytime.

it could still autosave when it loads

it could still autosave when it loadsI'd really like it if it did. I got used to that system with RE4. If the character dies you just hit the action button for retry and it loads you back in at the beginning of the section.

How are they cannibals? They hang over the bodies of their dead husbands. Look at them, they are semi-old woman, they are in a dress they probly put on 8 years ago. They hang over the bodies and say stuff like, "oh no one sees you no." And crazy, phsyco things like that.

Any ideas about this one?-perhaps a grisly cut scene showing our guys untimely demise-or a boring fade to black?

Maybe it could be like one of those screen savers which makes you screen look like it's filling with water. That would be pretty cool.

I think someone posted this on another thread a long time ago, but they mentioned that as you were dying or after you died, you would hear the skipping and singing of the little sister. I think that would really be great, but might take too long. Maybe it could be a sort of cinematic that you could watch or skip if you wanted to. Who knows really. As long as it's gory I'm fine with it.:D

I know I'd mark out for a Super Mario style death sequence, complete with the goofy little tune.
It'd never happen, though:p
