Ok how many people have problems with their 360 version since the Xbox live update ? I've been playing problem free for the last 2+ weeks & now since the update tonight I'm getting the problems other people have mentioned. Basically it freezes up every so often when playing. Holding down the LB & RB button to clear the cache did NOT fix it.
This is pretty disappointing after having no problems a patch causes trouble ?! :(

Show me some links to your reply cause I was just on xbox.com and I looked and didn't see anything in regards to the update making things worse

I've heard it worked for many other people though.

I am having the same problem as you. I've been problem free for 2 weeks, allowed the update today, within 5 minutes the freezing every few seconds started for me. I am unable to play the game now.

Someone on the Xbox forums claimed simply traveling back & forth in the bathysphere fixed it for him. I'll try it some time & see if it works. *shrug*

I did the cache clear thing about 10 times tonight. Just kept rebooting my xbox and doing the LB-RB while the game loads. It took several tried but I was finally able to play the game for about 15 minutes without a stutter. I hope it's gone now. We'll see... Not sure what exactly that update did but it sure didn't make anything better for me.

i'm wondering if maybe my cache clear isn't registered. I'm holding down rb & lb as soon as I turn the console on but maybe it's a little too soon. I wish when they included these secret "features" they'd have some kind of message telling you it actually worked. Loading older games didn't help either. I may try the full cache clear if I can't get it working properly. :(
I'm using an LCD running at 720p I don't know if that was anything to do with it, some people have been saying the update had something to do with the widescreen issue but who knows. They just put out updates & normally people trust that an update is going to be good not make things worse.

Are you sure it's LB+RB? Every other game that I have on the 360 I only have to hold "A" down as I power up.

With Bioshock its LB+RB.
I played the game for about 2 1/2 hours last night after updating and didnt experiance any problems.

Yeah, look at the sticky topic, Ken Levine posted that information in "360 hitches" I believe.

tried the LB+RB again, this time starting from the desktop instead of from cold startup & it appears to have worked. I think I might have had the buttons pressed down too soon the other way & it might not have registered. Of course if they could just have a "cache cleared" message it would make things easier. :D

According to the posts on xboxlive Bioshock uses different button configurations to clear the cache. But it's like using a cheat code - you only know you input the buttons correctly if you get the result you want.
I would say since so many people are having problems with the download, everyone should avoid it until 2K or Microsoft explains what is was supposed to do to begin with.
