Hi

I thought I got my crashing problem solved yesterday but I was wrong. It came back. So today I was banging my head and trying all the different stuff and nothing worked. I was always getting the sorry Bioshock.exe must close error (msvcr80.dll error in the details). Then I just by an error screwed something with my Trend Micro Internet Security and decided to uninstall it and install my old trusty NOD32 and Outpost firewall. Meantime I also uninstalled Bioshock. So I installed NOD32 and Outpost and then just decided I will give Bioshock another go. I did a clean install and guess what the game is workink ok now. So this is just my experience but I would advise this to all that are getting Bioshock.exe (msvcr80.dll) error. Install the newest Nvidia drivers, update directx and then uninstall and change your antivirus and firewall and try it with my settings or try some other firewall and antivirus. This is just a hint and I can't guarantee it will work but it did work wonders for me. Try it.

What are your system specs and operating system?

Also, what in-game video settings are you using?

I already have NOD32, so that's not really a solution. ;P

My specs:

Windows XP Pro
AMD Sempron 3100+
Nvidia Geforce A6600GT TDH
1 Gig of Ram

And really it is working flawlessly now that I uninstalled Trend Micro Internet Security. It works great now. And I am running it on 800x600 and medium settings.
