With Illusion Softworks' website pointing to www.2kgames.com/mafia2/ as it's official homepage (http://www.illusionsoftworks.com/games/11-mafia-2/) might there be a Mafia 2 forum added here?

Although, I think they won't open a forum for Mafia 2 until some more news about it is released (to give us something to talk about), which is suppose won't be too far from now.

Mafia is seriosly the msot aweosme gta style game ever. That boat mission, hell every mission is so good. Mafia 2 trailer on XBL looks so good. I remember writing a email to their czeck illusion softworks complimenting them on mafia and how i hope a second is made then like 5 months its announced. So awesome.

First thing I'd like to ask: As i heard, there has been some little Mafia II "preview" in Game Informer. If there is anyone who read this, can you please tell me wich issue it has been in? I'd like to have a look on it ;-)

Mafia II is probably the only game that would tempt me back (although I'd have to spend a solid week of 48 hour sessions and then sell the console (before it take too much time away from the stuff I need to do). My idea of a holiday I guess.)).

While I had the console I'd probably take a look at Alone in the Dark also, and Alan Wake.

On the topic of Mafia II— does anyone know if Tommy's going to make another appearance?

I liked Tommy. I never really understood the backlash against him (people really came to hate him but I had sympathy for him, he always remained a sympathetic character for me (after all it was just a story) I think in reality he wouldn't have been inducted that easily, or relied upon so heavily, (you need a certain kind of nature to be able to function efficiently in that type of organisation and Tommy just wasn't that guy.) It might be cool if we could play as or against Elliot Ness.

I'm really hoping they get it right for the 360 because I just want to buy it play it sell it and get on with my life (if I have to upgrade my P.C. it'll just be too much of a commitment).

If they have online racing on xbox live I'm probably going to be majorly torn. I really hope the driving model is the equivalent quality as Mafia's was at it's time of release (i.e. ahead of the curve in relation to contemporary titles). I had the fastest time published to the forums for the lost heaven track. It'll be interesting to see what type of competition is out there (when the playing field's level (i.e. no fatfiles))

Judging from screenies it looks to be set later than the first game. The first game in which Tommy died. So he'd probably be dead.

That said, he did look quite a lot older when he got shot, so maybe he'll feature. Maybe Zombie Tommy (braaaaaiiiiiins).

Hi, first of all I'm extremely happy that you decided to make Mafia II, but why the change of the city? Is Empire City a bigger better version of Lost Heaven or a completely new city? And can we expect to see Lost Heaven in the game? (it would be ideal if we could drive from one city to another). I would love to revisited Lost Heaven in its full "next generation" graphics.
If anyone can answer this questions it would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Look at us, it's like we wan't to hear more stories about City Of Lost Heaven and of Tomy... It's like we have memories of them and want to see them again. That's something I can't explain to people who think Mafia is an average game.

I've heard that a lot of people suggested changing car control, I personaly don't understand why? Maybe it's because I've only played it once on my keyboard and every other time on wheel. With wheel this game is sooo realistic. I really hope that you won't change driving style and physics of cars. Of course I don't think that cars should be of same speed, but apply same physics on faster cars.

Speed limiter... greatest idea ever! I've had so many beautiful hours of driving Mafia and you don't need to think of being caught for speeding, just put the pedal to the metal and let the limiter do its job ;) Please don't take it out.

There will be some major news about Mafia 2 in GameReactor and Level Magazines pretty soon. Interview with dev/s coming too! Wait for 11st April when infos will surely pop-out on the net too.
