WorldBuilder will not generate any maps (except blank ones) if your Windows user profile name has foreign / non-English characters in it. If you try to generate a map from the scripts, it will act like it's generating something but nothing will change, and you'll still have a blank map (all ocean).

The WORKAROUND for this is to use a Windows profile name without any non-English, accented, or otherwise Unicode characters. Then I am able to generate any map I want using any script I want.

On Vista, you can create a new user profile by going to the Windows Start Menu -> Control Panel -> User Accounts -> Manage another account -> Create a new account. Other versions of Windows have a similar process, just look for the Users or User Accounts icon in the Control Panel.

I already posted about this in the bugs thread (http://forums.2kgames.com/forums/showthread.php?t=87443&page=11#428), and I'm sorry for making a new thread, but it occurred to me that users searching for this bug may not be able to find it in that amazingly long bug thread... so here it is in case some poor user overseas is scratching their heads wondering why the map generator's broken; hopefully they can find this post. Thanks,
