Reporting crashes as well: unplayable

Quite a blow. After having player every single Civ game for a plethora of years, I haven't seen any Civ game even remotely as buggy. A pity. Atm the game is totally unplayable. I crash every few turns, between 3rd and 10th turn the game freezes, gets black and crashes.

My Comp:

Dual Core 2.13 MHz
2 GB Ram
Windows XP SP3
Nvidia 7950 GT with 512 Video RAM
Playing at monitor res of 1650 x 1080

I updated my drivers and reinstalled Direct X. Playing with no non-English characters in my steam name. I was able to play all the tutorial without difficulties, but every normal game crashes, mostly when I try to move a unit, it seems. I tried windowed mode, but to no avail.

Naturally I am quite mad, having paid for a game I entirely can not play.

Get a new video card. I had a Ge7 5 years ago.

dx 10 or dx 9 also post in the support forums but I found if lowered the graphics settings to low it solved my issues.
