View Full Version : Awesome hidden video (I suppose)

I was looking through my Bioshock folder (PC version) and looked at almost all the videos they have in the BinkMovies folder. I watched them all but the 'KilledGatherers.bik" since I haven't beaten the game harvesting all the LS's yet. But one file was around 130 mb called "attractMovie.bik", I watched it, and it has a long monologue by Andrew Ryan about Rapture, then almost shows Jack's face through a leak coming from the ceiling, and a very high res battle with 2 Bouncers. I'd never seen it before and did a search on the forums to try to find another topic about it before posting this one, so if anyone would like to view it (along with all the other movies), I'll write up the steps here.
The folder will be under (Whatever your root directory is):\Documents and Settings\(Whatever your profile name is)\Application Data\2K Games\BioShock\Content\BinkMovies
Then simply download the Bink Video player here: http://www.radgametools.com/bnkdown.htm
and simply view!
Forgive me if this is old news, or has been posted before, I found it very cool. :)

The video you were talking about is the HD trailer that was released quite awhile ago. You can find it at gametrailers or any game site that hosts videos.

Saves me some trouble, thanks for posting that. Although if someone wants to see the full version, I'll upload the .bik somewhere, since it's only 125 mb and very high quality.

I didn't mean to confuse you by implying that the Big Daddies fight eachother. You fight one, kill it, and other drills you in the back. The gametrailers video above is the one I'm talking about. This one I'm uploading currently to MegaUpload will just be a higher quality.. *shrug*

oh that was a let down =(...Its fun watching 2 big daddys fight, imagine seeing one in a fully beautiful CGI and more graphic trailer where anything can happen.(I don't see the bouncers drilling through your hands)

its the attract movie. Leave the game on the title screen for a while and you will see it.
Its the original CG trailer for Bioshock. Only with a different voice over.
If you download the one from xbox live you will hear the first recording of Andrew Ryan which I prefer.

That video is OLD and it's been stated that, that isn't Jack. It's just another person in rapture who's made the choice to kill little sisters for adam.

Guys...
This is an old conceptual trailer, it's been out for ages on the marketplace and on gametrailers, its not even hidden in the game files, you just have to not press anything on the menu for a while on either versions and it will play...
come on.

meh, i changed the title screen to (instead of the lighthouse and logo) show all the plasmid vids, its pretty cool :D
