can not install from disc

I have bought the hard copy of the game, it is not recognized in 1 of my drives but is by another, the games starts to install but always freezes on the installing directx 9, i have directx 11 installed on my computer, this is my second disc as i was having problems and returned the first disc...... any ideas to solutions to this problem?

Try installing DX manually before installing the game.

Press the Windows key + R and type...

d:\resources\DirectX\DXSETUP.EXE

Replace d with the letter of your DVD drive. If it freezes / errors during this process, let me know and include the details of any errors.

I'm having this same problem. i tried your work around Jamie but that does not help itstill gets to the directx 9 part and freezes Im running a fairly new pc also like 3 months old....

If you have a decent internet connection, just link the CD-Key to your Steam account and click download.

I tried this I got 10mb internet I downloaded steam and I Downloaded the game the 4gig part anyways....went to launch and its still trying to set up dx9 and it gets stuck there.......:mad:

ps whenever is gets to the dx9 stage on the disk or even on steam it pretty much kills my computer and i have to force shut down. ive left it waiting to install 30 minutes before and still nothing........

Well im off to work imma try installing dx9 while im afk for a few hours lol......
