actual earth map?

I hear there is an actual earth map you can play on, but selecting earth as the map doesnt seem to be it, i explored my whole continent i was on and i am not sure where i was to be quite honest. didnt seem like any continent i know of at least.. Do you just select earth and huge map for whole of earth or what?

I think what you selected in the main menu was an earth-like planet, with multiple continents.

I haven't tried to play on actual Earth, but based on other people's posts, there is a map just like that. Keep looking--I'll let you know if I find it.

Yeah there's an earth map I pick earth map with large lands and I was on North America.

There is a mod available that provides an earth like map with correct starting possitions

Of course there is. I've been playing it for the last couple of days as Russia playing marathon on the huge map. I'm having a blast too.
