The trio left the caves, they were greeted by piercing sunlight and the Sergeant on the floor, blooding pouring from his head.

A grenade drops from above behind Wilkins but in front of Robinson. It exploded. Robinson fell back ibn the mouth of the cave and didn't get up, Wilkins, fallen in out through the mouth and now outside, looked up in time to see a rifle aiming between his eyes from on top of the rocks above the cave entrance.

Julian - "Enjoy your sleep facist pig."

He shot Wilkins directly in the eyepiece and gore poured from the now shattered glass.

Robinson, hands still shaking, pushed himself into a standing position, the armour would help him now. Silent he walked past Wilkins too the Sergeant; he grabbed his Wattz Radio.

PFC Robinson - "Fort Benning this PFC Robison, currently 3 klicks east outside the local resistance cave complex, two men down, need pick-up, a portable bunker fit and another Turner-Johnson Plasma explosive over."

Warrent Officer - "Roger that PFC Robinson, ETA 20 minutes. You hold out till then over?"

PFC Robinson - "Sure thing, over and out." He turned to Kurtis. "Everyone dead in there?"

Retreated into the mouth of the cave, back to back they waited for the Vertibrid to arrive.

After 20 minutes of silence it decended before them. 4 troopers climbed out each grabbing the arms and legs of Wilkins and Thompson and hoisting them into the bird. An officer jumped out and saluted Robinson and Kurtis.

1Lt. Williamson - "Gentlemen; Condolences for the loss of two brave troops Private. We have the second charge here, where is the first?

PFC Robinson - "We left it at the first target sir.

1Lt. Williamson - "I see. PFC's Brown and Dobson will carry the second charge into the caves. You requested a bunker kit?

PFC Robinson - "There's a section in the caves were wooden boards must be crossed, the wieght of APA would break them so Sarge sent the conscript in, there all dead in there."

1Lt. Williamson - "Outstanding conscript. PFCs Taylor and Monroe will assemble the brdige, you will arm the first charge and I will enter ahead to gather any intelligence."

Williamson led the group into the caves, it took 5 minutes to assemble the bridge and by the time the second charge was armed Williamson had found his intel: plans for raids, safehouses and such.

They were pre-paring to leave when, Valerie woke-up. She saw Kurtis and screamed in terror.

"Oh, I left this one alive, she didn't seem to pose any threat. She could possibly be used as bait to draw out the one that killed the rest of your men."

Williamson drew his pistol and a ball of burning green plasma collided with Valerie's face. The other troopers murmered agreement.

1Lt Williamson - "He got away, simple as that, unfortunate but that's the wastes, it's a pretty big desert. If he is still a freedom fighter his end will come soon enough." He holstered his pistol. "Comon' gentlemen lets blow this place."

They left the caves complex and Williamson held the detonators in each hand, one from Sergeant Thompson's body for charge 1 and one he had been issued with for charge 2. Charge two had been placed in the secret rear tunnel, the tunnel which had been used by Julian to flank the Enclave earlier.

Lt. Williamson activated both charges simultaniously, a wave of green energy burst from the mouth of the cave and the floor shook, the air was filled with the thunderous sounds of rocks crashing to the ground. When the noise abated and the smoke cleared the mouth of the cave was completely obscured by rocks pouring out of it's entrance.

1Lt Williamson - "Well lads that's done, the rebels won't use these caves again."

The engines of the Vertibird started and the group climbed aboard for the 10 minute flight back to Fort Benning.

The Vertibird touched down on the runway.
