LA Noire (Other games you like?)

firsthand i would like to say that currently this looks crap compared to Mafia 2 but i really enjoyed RDR, and i find it hard to believe that this game could possibly be coming out in less than a month (sometime september, i think) when there has been nothing, nothing at ALL exept one (Average) trailer and a handful of crappy screenshots.
Anyone else think this?
Plus was wondering if there were any other games besides Mafia 2 you may be getting. I think i will see how True Crime goes, looks quite good and different.

Ah well mafia II will keep me occupied for a while...not planning on buying another game...we'll see what times bring right, none of these games in your poll...is a game i would like, except mafia II.

I really hope la noire will be awesome, I heard rumors it'll be delayed to spring, but no official word yet. Hope the development isn't gathering dust, seems like its being ignored :/ Mafia 2 will be epic so I don't mind the wait

New Vegas and Civilization V for me. I would have probably considering Black Ops had MW2 not been an absolute disaster for the PC. I can't really justify giving a company money if all they're going to give in return is a half-ass console port that doesn't even have dedicated servers.

In my case, it's what game(s) am I buying instead of Mafia 2. I canceled my pre-order for the PS3 Collector's Edition two days ago. Instead, I ordered Heavy Rain.

I played the demo and was greatly impressed with it. It's radically different from M2 or GTA IV or RDR...or anything else, for that matter...which is cool. Plus, unlike M2, this game actually is optimized for the PS3. :cool:

u do need to take in mind, that Modern Warfare 2 was made by the original makers of the series, and that Black Ops, are going to be made by Treyarch (same makers as WaW) and from what i know, Treyarch aren't the people that hate pc gamers :rolleyes: but then again, i don't know much about Black Ops yet...:)

I had more screen tearing in Heavy Rain than I've had in any other game I've ever played in my life...love the game though.

I don't understand the hostility towards rockstar on this forum considering both 2k and Rockstar are owned by the same company. They do thing differently but they're not sworn enemy of the galactic alliance.


I'd like to say that Mafia 2 is my game of the year, but it isn't. Good or bad its simply a filler for November 3rd when the most anticipated game of the past 4 years is finally released.

Meh, I can already tell that the remote controlled RC Bomber and the Explosive Crossbow are going to be overused, over-powerful weapons. Same with that spy camera. Every new COD just gets more and more noob-friendly, for lack of a better word.

Rockstar isn't developing it, though, so it could be a horrible game that still gets good reviews (because of the Rockstar logo).

I guess we will all know it around the first of next month (that's when they will reveal the multiplayer in Black Ops) but and this is just a guess, since i haven't played WaW on the pc. But WaW had dedicated servers right ?...I don't like Treyarch at all, i think call of duty should be made by Infinity Ward, and thats it. But if Treyarch does make dedicated servers, they can get a huge fan base of that. Since that's something IW failed to do.

Ok so I voted CoD: Black ops. I will be picking that up because it will be the only good multiplayer game being released in months. I will also be picking up Medal of Honor, but that is just because you get the Battlefield 3 BETA to go with it whenever it comes out. I will of course play the actual game, but I don't think it is something that will keep me entertained for a very long time.

Rest of my pre orders will all release in 2011.

I will be definitely checking out LA noire. i have respect for rockstar and i think they have a promising game on their hands. mafia 2 is going to be keeping me entertained for quite some time i can say with some conviction. i will play it through a minimum of 3 times before i get bored...plus there is so much potential with the open world thing too...gosh i can easily see myself spending HOURS on this game.
i daresay it will be taking pride of place in my 360 for quite some time to come!

i will keep watching LA noire, i just do not believe it will be released this year, maybe the start of next or summer of 2011. All that is out is the first trailer, and the very first trailer of MAfia 2 came out AGGGGGGEEEEESSS like years ago (At least it seems that way ;) ) before now, a couple of days before release. :D
i really doubt it will be the september release that some sites say. :(
