Most of the reviewers show only one version of the game, but analise all of them, and he's showing the xbox 360 version in whole video I think, anyway he's not gonna winning nothing lying like that...

Yes, 360 bottons apear at the end, in a CQC fight, but it's because he's only showing that version because he doesn't compare them, anyway I don't find the video either in the main web of gameking...

Yeah, but that's not the same though.. actually that is only a preview, and he only uses footage released by 2k. I'm pretty sure he isn't allowed to show the footage from the ps3 version yet, since 2k is holding back the reviews..

Yes.. this is possible too... but well i think that the PS3 must be almost like Xbox 360 is, so.. if a man who has played at the final version, well we think that, is saying that the final is better, by now i trust him!

My point exactly.. the reviewing business isn't all that corrupt. I know that a lot of big companies tries to bribe or influence the magazines, but if they take bribes and the review games to be better than they are, they're cred is gone and they're done for..People will definitly notice if a reviewer praises a game that is crappy..

It remember me God of War 3, I was one who could play beta version of the game. I recieved a mail of sony with a psn code. It was the same demo of E3. That's was about 6 months before the release, after that the same demo was uploaded to ps Store, a month before the release. It was the same demo, not with bad graphics, but the game had much better ones.

So that is what happened with mafia 2, these demo, for ps3, xbox and pc, are the same what were at E3 of this year. The difference is ps3 version don't had so much details that xbox or pc ones, because there were made by separeted ways and xbox and pc version are more finished than ps3 one, but it doesn't mean tge final build will be unfinished.

- Motionblur?
- better anti-aliasing?
- Bloodpools beneath fallen enemies?
- grass / foliage?
- Cloth-movement of any sort? (in trenchcoats and such)

It is a ps3 screen cause if you look closely at whos driving the car it's that bold guy from the DLC. Plus that screen circle thing on the top right hand corner that's also from jimmy DLC so it is from PS3. And it has GRASS!!! OMFG!!!! now people can finally be calm with this grass thing. :D lol i honestly couldn't care less tho. lol

Sorry but i see no sense... why a exclusive DLC will be made at PC, they have PS3 dev kit to be used for devoloping the PS3 stuff, there is no reason to do somthing exclusive at PC for then, making a port or a modification to make it available to PS3 structure that is a lot different than Xbox and PC.

I think the problem with the fact is that Liz does not work on the game, maybe she is a secretary for 2k or maybe has a different job at 2k. If she cant give clear difinitive answers than maybe she doesnt work on the game, and when tomorrow roles around she will go to the devs and ask them herself and posts the answers back on these boards.

again, the ps3 demo like the 360 and pc demo is a beta version of the e3 demo, which means it was build months ago before the finished it for E3 this year. Since the developed the game for 3 different platforms by that time they where almost done with the PC and 360 version. Which is why they look superior to the PS3 version since the PS3 takes longer to develop for which is why the PS3 demo looks the way it is.

I think theres more reason for why it can be the ps3 version:

1. its the exclusive DLC from the ps3
2. has the triangle
3. the trees look like the ones form the ps3 demo, the PC and 360 have different trees
4. its been related as a ps3 screenshot.

Something just isn't right here.. The only thing I can come up with is that the PS3 side of the dev team just forgot to put 'em in the PS3 demo. That's all I can think up, really.

Like, Not only that yeah.. But in the PS3 demo, I've noticed another two things that are wierdly missing like seagulls & the plane that flies across as you cross that motorway bridge..

I think what's going on here is that.. 2K Games have two separate teams for each console platform.. And the PS3 side forgot to add in these minor details into their demo .. And the final version is absolutely fine, like.. nearly 100% the same as the full X360 version

I wouldn't be all that worried if i were you. Yeah sure, the demo causes some concerns, but no way in hell they would release that as the final product. Seriously, compare it to the other versions? That would be suicide by 2k. That would instantly kill their chances to sell anything to ps3-users anytime soon again. And the ps3 is really picking up speed in sales.. it would be a disaster for 2k. Anyway, i do really doubt that those screens are fake. Honestly, all the big gaming sites in the world has those pictures.. surely somebody checked the validity of the pictures. Anything else would seem really odd to me. I'm studying journalism, and if nobody checked the source of those pictures, the man in charge should be sacked immediatly.. If i were the editor, and those screens were fake, i would fire the guy responsible.

I think the reason why they didn't add the blood to the demo is because underage kids can get a hold of the demo. Doesn't matter if it's ps3 exclusive, all games are built and tested on PC (yes even PS3 games).

The Betrayal of Jimmy screens are not a definite proof of PS3 technical quality, because the original screens are in 1920x1200, which is a resolution that PS3 can't deliver (PS3's max. resolution is FullHD, which is 1920x1080, while Mafia II will run, in the best case, in 720p - but do you remember GTA IV X360 vs. PS3...?). Hi, i'm visiting this forum for at last 3 days, since i have played the PS3 demo, just like all the others players of PS3 demo, we want to get some kind of answer because is not at 2k Forums, is happening around all the videogames forums in the net, we just want an answer from anybody 2K worker to know the real situation of the Mafia 2 for PS3 now. This answer can be good or bad this doesn't care, if we get a good answer the people will re pre-order their copies for PS3 because all the people will be sure to get a really nice game, if is a bad answer it can't be worst because you already have lost a lot of pre-order, and the poeple who wants mafia 2 and just have a PS3 will decide if is good to pay about 60€ to get an 50% completed copy, if we are talking at the graphics".

There are a lot of questions unanserwed and we just want to know if all what we can see at the public demo of Mafia 2 (PS3) will be the last version, is just a question and we need just a real answer.

So c'mon it's not too difficult to say somthing in less than 1 week, time needed to re pre-order the copy.

I think this is the appropriate thread, due to the fact that everyone who wants to know is on this one. Anyway, the question was (regarding the retail-version for the ps3). compared to the demo:
- will there be better AA?
- will there be motionblur?
- will there be bloodpools beneath wacked enemies?
- will the fps be stable?
- will there be less pop-ins?
- will there be 3d-rendered grass (and not a flat surface)?

if anybody got anything to add, please feel free.

Guys we've got nothing to worry about,I'm very sure that's just a demo problem and will be fixed untill the game comes out.I mean,there are also audio problems (xbox 360 version) and alot of screen tearing and some frame rate isues and of course bad AA,I mean,they can't sell an unfinished game,or can they ? :)
