View Full Version : Hardest game I ever played
Blackfoot 09

So, started playing last week (normal). I am getting eaten alive at every turn. I know, turn it to easy, but I have finished ME, ME2, COD MW2, FO3, etc on normal with not near as much trouble. Is this game that hard or am I inept? Thinking about ditching it before the trade in period is up. Anyone else share my opinion? I assume it only gets more difficult from here?

I've beaten that so many times.
Good game, but easy...
Except for Reavers. I hate those.

I would say that Bioshock 1 is fairly difficult at first, but if you're like me and beat it seven or eight times and now where almost every splicer is and where all of the best upgrades and secrets are, it's pretty easy. I have every achievement but one, historian, all I need to do is get every single audio diary... not easy if you don't have the guide... and I don't.
Also, for those of you claiming that fallout is too easy, maybe you should turn the difficulty setting all the way up, it changes things.

Bioshock does seem easy when you get use to the game but when you are a first timer its kinda hard.
Now as for Fallout just get New Vegas, i bet the new difficulty will make the game hard.

The hardest difficulty does sound utterly ridiculous. You now have to worry about starvation and dehydration, and even your ammo will have a weight.
I had a bit of trouble with BioShock at first, but once you get used to the gameplay and learn the proper techniques of disposing of particular enemies, it will become very easy.

I thought it was hard at first, but my advise is to just push through it.

Yes push through it, preferably with the shotgun and Incinerate!. Then again, you have infinite lives, so it doesn't really matter how you play. Tip for fighting the last boss: Use the chemical thrower with electric gel'.

I recomend saving VERY often, and loading your last save every time you die. I find that it saves you lots of resources if you do that.
Also, most of the other games you played are stupid easy...

Experiment with different load outs of plasmids and tonics. The potency of how strategic you are affects your gameplay by a considerably large margin.

Not for me.
I got every DLC, except Zeta, and nearly have every bobblehead. Never died once.

Bioshock is the easiest game I've ever played; even on hard. Granted, MW and MW2's Veteran difficulties an Halo's Legendary difficulty don't give me too much trouble either, so it might just be me.

Playing the game on survivor difficulty without vita chambers was insanely hard earlier on. It took me, what, 15 tries to take down the first bouncer (mainly because his shoulder charge killed me in 1 hit).
But to the OP, you're wrong about it only getting harder later on. Quite the opposite.

Maybe your approach is wrong? If your style of play is "runnin'n'gunning", you might have problems with Bioshock. Take your time to explore things (and enjoy the fantastic scenery :) ). Think, and plan ahead. Especially when it comes to fighting Big Daddies. Since they never attack unprovoked, it's up to you to set the time and place for the fight. Utilize the different weapons and ammo, and don't forget the PLASMIDS! (Very easy to do in the heat of the moment if you're used to regular shooters.)
And no, it actually gets easier later in the game. You get better gear and plasmids, and more experience. From what I recall from the first time I played it, the hardest parts were the very first big splicer fight while waiting to get through to Medical, Medical itself with the first BD, and the Fisheries. Hint: At the fisheries you'll get a fancy research camera. Use it on EVERYTHING from that point.

Agreed. You need to take your time to explore EVERYTHING. If you speed through the whole game, you're not going to understand the story, which is essential to the game-play and specially for unlocking achievements. Take time to articulate your fights with Big Daddies. If you just jump right in to a fight with one, you're gonna get killed.

Haha, it really is ridiculously hard early on. I just could NOT kill a rosie when I first came across one, and did that whole level without rescuing any little sisters. Eventually, I realised I could use security command to kill anything, so I kinda abused that for a while.

Its pretty tough. The best way to beat the game it to avoid hits. Stay covered, use plasmid, then shoot. Its very easy to take damage, especially when fighting Big Daddies. I always find a place to hide and take them out slowly often times only using 1 health kit at max. In Bioshock 2 that becomes harder to do. But if you dodge, electrify and shoot- you should make it through pretty unscathed. But wait till you flip in on Hard, its pretty darn hard!
