To be honest, I was more interested in you using the RoF Shotgun. It would be interesting to see how well you could use it in clutch situations.

RoF is good for range but not for strength in my opinion If I could get off one good sawed off round then I wont waste ammo. Also, If im being double teamed or what not I'll have rounds in the chamber with out having to reload in the middle of a battle when everysecond counts. Afterall whoever lands the shot first almost always seems to win or has the advantage in my opinion. Hi, Fish its me R3D btw :D

Here's a montage of no stuns I did in a few recent games (PC). The video capture software seems to lower the framerate a bit (while playing at least), so I find it hard to play with. Nothing special, but a few of the frags are cool I think.

PS. At 1.40 I shoot a player who probably is AFK (without having stated so). He's seems to be taking a dump at the Kashmir toilets. While not a frag I'm proud of, I think it's really funny! :D

Some of you might find this video interesting. I tried experimenting and only used Pistol(no attachment), Houdini, Fast Feet, Eve Saver, Backstabber. The first time I used Backstabber it didn't seem effective, but the second time around it wasn't so bad. Quality is kinda iffy due to me constantly using Houdini, but take a look and tell me what you think of the strategy.

BackStabber and Winter Blast can destroy a Big daddy in Seconds.

However it's rather hard to use houdini when your using the GL all the time. That would be nice to see someone using a grenade launcher build. I've seen a few on youtube like this one.

Often times after I post, reading it again later the whole tone of what I said comes across (even to me) as way more harsh and snotty than what I intended... Softer, that's actually a very good word for the effect I am thinking of. I watch a lot of videos and the clarity others seem to get, especially in HS videos, always amazes me. It is easy to spot the cursor on the head in the video over some large distances, whereas on my screen, I am lucky to be able to tell exactly where the general area is between a name and a head.

Here's what happened. I shot you with bees (you were the BD) and killed you with the nailgun. I then got the sister to the vent 3 times, but i believe someone else got the captures (maybe I got one of them). I also ran up and no stun headshot you in the head once to see if you would respawn normal.


EDIT: The next game I was seeing trails in Hephestus. All of the lights were trailing. It was pretty cool actually.

How do you get no-stun kills with the CB?? I thought even with CB/damage increase and HH, you had to use a plasmid. :confused:

Meh i tried playing on xbox countless times itstoo laggy for me and I can't seem to beat the eb/hs idiots with lvl 16 low lvl loadouts. I really am alot more terrible than i used to be -_-. Like seriously xbox or ps3 I still manage to get freaking headshotted even if i use ad when they eb me.. very frustrating

Wow, that was impressive. I know one player had a slightly better score than you. But considering you were strictly no stunning nor hanging with a teammate, that score was outsnading. I think my nade spam may have cause a host drop or two today. I also had a good match of sotf as well. I was playing it in "Fun" mode, and kept getting 3rd place:D. More kills than death. Most of the kills I got were from the crossbow-rate of fire, rather than the spam launcher.

I fully understand your view. Now I don't mind a stacked team against another stacked team. Just noob trolling is not nice and not good for the noobs. I team up with one person most of the time (slowdive) we just play whatever we can get into. This also depends on if our padawan learner is playing bio (I adopted a noob lol). Cw, Cts, or whatever. I don't think either of us is concerned about who we play so long as we play.

The thing about stacked teams that I've noticed, is that most of the players if their alone end up dead. They tend to run in pairs most of the time. When I'm with a team (my friends) and were all together(for the match), I hardly see them as we map roam. We may tag alone for a bit but then it's solo. Some of my friends like to "disappear" in matches and hide. They let me do all the hard work (you know who you are):D

I don't really even consider playing with one other person "teaming." When I say stacked team, I mean a minimum of 3, more likely 4. And that doesn't even apply if it is team versus team, like I know the top players like to do. If everyone in the game is high level, then more power to you. What I was referring to is the three or four 50s that group up and hunt newb lobbies. As for sticking together, the guy I played with today yells at me if I stick near him. He thinks it makes us nade targets. :)

By the way, I missed you by 4 minutes this morning. Don't know if you had been playing, or just on PSN doing something else. I got on around 11 am CST I think.

She was the big daddy and I was shooting nades at her, then she smack me, spin around and smack me again. It was funny. I dunno, today, as short as it was, was a total disaster. As I said in the vent thread, I apparently have a low ceiling and have reached it. I just don't seem to be improving at all. It gets a bit frustrating. Actually tends to take the fun away from the game. And without the fun, there's not much point to playing. Definitely going back to my personal rule of only playing on the weekend. I'm just not able to warm up and play well in the short amount of game time I have after work. And that tends to frustrate me.

Today was a good start! Finally reached the EG level with my rebirthed account and got the weapon. Had an excellent couple of matches with it. Even went one on three with a teamed up group in CW and managed to take all three out, two with no stuns. Felt good!

I just sort of run around in a "whatever happens, happens" state of mind because my stats on that account suck. I don't really worry how I do. When I am in that mode, I do MUCH better as I don't spaz. I spaz when I care, when I want to win, when I really want to kill some particular player. So I guess not caring helps me remain calm, and ends up improving my performance. Then again, I'm probably not having as much fun when I'm in that state of mind either. So it's a glass half empty/half full kinda thing.

I mostly drop out of match's with nothing but head hunters and nothing but nade spam. Oddly though since I went back to the launcher. I don't mind being in a match with a few of them but when everyone is doing nothing but, it sucks. If the match is mixed (weapons and non stacked) I feel more a home. I also hate it when player nut hug each other in a team match. I mean honestly does it take 3 people to kill me. That's what I'm running into more and more. Get those people a lone and they drop like fly's.

I played one match this morning with the don't care attitude and had a blast (literally). It was a mixed lot of noobs and level 12/13 ranked players. I was using the nade launcher and just hanging around in the back ground. Letting my team mates do most of the work. Using the launcher to weakening the opposing team. Got about a dozen kills.

The only problem I have is those matches that are equal to a rabid dog fight. I really hate those. I like the one's where everyone is just running around not all huddled together.

Newer players can take some notes from vids like this as to how you can move around the shortcuts in the maps and flank enemies... It takes practice, but the majority of players will be blindsided if you use the more creative shortcuts/alt routes in the maps.

I used default controls from the time the game came out up until around 9 months ago. I got used to it for the most part except for the default functions of L3 and R3. I'm also unable to use a finger besides my thumb to work the buttons on the face of the controller while still aiming and using the R1 and R2 buttons (no right index finger), so it made sense to me to try changing it up and it really gave me more freedom to work the controls in a less clumsy way while still keeping a good grip on the thing.

Because I'm such a noob at youtube I didn't know that they had such a thing, so I didn't change it. It wasn't till later that I saw the video and I changed it. As for my jumping Ive been doing it since I started playing the game so it just a force of habit now, I use my thumb to jump. In one of my videos I set up slugger I don't remember which one but it show's my entire button config. you can pause it for a better look but its default I only changed melee with the gun fire since it's so hard to run with slugger charged.

Actually, the first change I made swas swapping jump and iron sights. I liked it, but I kept jumping as I shot... so I followed Phly's layout with one difference and I took to it right away with no adjustment time before it felt right. I haven't changed anything since.

XD That is a classic bxb mistake right there, I used to see her do that all the time. She'd get so caught up in the moment she would start "wiggin'" out. Usually I just look at my killcam to see if anyone's camping. Nothing beats the feeling of killing someone whose trying to hide in the corner.

I actually own Xbwax, But don't have Bio for it or Live. Or else I'd be on there giving rep to my PS3 hoodz. It's something I'm thinking of investing in, just to see how Xbox is.

Plus, I would to see how much I can kill before I get called a haxor.

If and when you do so, I wish you luck adjusting to the lag... It's, ..different... But a player of your skill level should adjust fairly easily.

haha yeah don't rely on Leg Up on xbox, it isn't worth it, or aero dash. Those don't work unless you are host. But the morals makes up for it.

Given the douches I encountered in SOTF, I say they use rez for one of these reasons....

1. Be a douchebag and suicide so you don't get the kill
2. To get cheap shots off of n00bs who don't have the slightest clue what rez is.
3. To go Kamikaze with barrels/explosives without harming themselves
4. To just waste their killer's time

Yeah, those are my same thoughts Bladia. To me it's a waste because the noob (hopefully) will get smart to it. I did, to bad I haven't gotten the hang for death trap yet. That's my own stupidity. I was running my gl loadout that match, testing out the pistol with damage increase too. Here's the funny thing about that match. I was camping in that open area with the rocket turret and tree's. I saw that the suit had appeared and thought "Oh, Great! Who's going to get it?". Happen to look behind me and there it was. I think one of the guys had to be a ex-booster or something. He was an easy kill.

Usually things go depending on the map, Farmer's Market is one of the most enduring maps considering its size and the obvious advantage of gaining the top of the map.

It is mainly due to us headshotting (advantage means everything when HSing)

On other maps though things go more smoothly due to terrain.

I've been in enough matches with the two of you, to realize the level of seriousness is nonexistent. If you did get serious, I'd hate to be on the receiving end of it. Both of you have shot at me (same team), hit me with a melee, and plasmids. Most of the time if I'm with the two of you, I just wait in the background for stragglers.

I usually hate the BD suits with a passion, but the only other person on my team that I knew I could count on doing well was Ss_Uu_Aa_Ll so I grabbed them while I could XD

I made a new friend through t-bagging. It was in sotf and this mid 20's player t-bagged me. So every time I killed him I t-bagged him and we did this for three matches. Finally I asked him why, he said it was out of respect. "If you can kill me that consistently, I'll t-bag you. Shows you go skillz." asked me why I t-bagged me."You started it :p" Then about a dozen messages later I get a friend request. Funny how we make friends in this game.

My "favorite" players that I used to see while playing on an alt account was the level 40s and 50s that would actively seek out low level lobbies in SotF, and then suit camp on top of it. Was absolutely pathetic.

Nothing makes me laugh more then seeing some level 50 Headhunter, Tryharding while picking up the suit every match in a entire level 10 lobby.

It's why I hate SOTF unless with friends, It's ☺☺☺☺ing sad and makes me cringe seeing how bad players get.

I'm not even 100% sure what you guys mean by suit camping.. Is it camping while you're IN the suit? Is it camping while WAITING for said suit to drop? As much as I hate to admit it, I'm lost on this one so you'll have to excuse me for once. I'm glad no one is apparently calling me one based on a single video and all, but to push that point further if you look at my stats in comparison to players who have put in the amount of time that I have, it is more than clear that I have rarely touched the big daddy suit in most of my days of Bio (taking them out though, that's a different story). Not to mention up until a few months ago I would guard the suit until someone on my team who actually wanted it would show up and take it, mostly because I didn't have the confidence for using it. Just saying.

Ahhh, I see. Then no, I am most definitely not a suit camper by any means. I might have gotten the suit twice, but the first time I was spawned in the area before it popped up and in the midst of killing someone and I looked over and it was there, and the second time I had to run through a good portion of the map to get to it and it happened to be the second place I checked. I went for them after they popped up on purpose yet, but to allow their team to take it would have just been stupidity on my part, even though I honestly and most often suck as a big daddy, I knew that if they got it the edge would have been theirs easily, especially with boxspamming going on.

I'd say the first was clearly luck, and the second time I could have easily been stopped in my tracks since there were many others who knew where to look. :)

No Blane, you aren't. Not even close. In the video you posted, there was plenty of time for anyone to have grabbed it. Had ANYONE been suit camping in that game, you wouldn't have even gotten a suit. There was quite a bit of time between when it spawned and when you got it.

Oh god xen, I know your pain on this one... I hate being BD in CTS as well... So much depends on you killing as much as you can and surviving for as long as possible. Never feel too badly though if it all blows up in your face, it happens to me too, and we can always say that we at least don't abandon the sister and we try our best :D

I hate being Big Daddy. Not because I can't do it, just generally dislike how people gun n' run away and the tendency of being overwhelmed by numbers.

BD all depends on who you are playing and mode of play. Generally I don't seek it out and if someone else is nearby, I let them have it. I used to be pretty good at BD, but people have gotten more creative when fighting me. I think I am a better BD when playing CTS, than any other mode though as I view it from a strategic standpoint.

BD suit was a horrid addition in SotF. That's the one mode it should have been left out of. Can totally unbalance a game when you are playing at lower levels. Higher levels, not such a big deal.

Even at higher levels, Even a somewhat decent Big Daddy can seriously unbalance the game. Makes it nightmarish deciding between grabbing the suit yourself, or letting it go to the Suit Camper.. sigh.
