View Full Version : The majority of crash issues are the fault of GFWL?

I'll just be honest and bring forward my analysis. It seems that the more notorious issues of GFWL have popped up, at least for me, since I began playing the game. GFWL is notorious for killing itself and anything attached to it whenever it feels it isn't being run in the proper environment. This is one of the things which makes it so incredibly difficult to run on platforms that allow Windows games to be played on OS X and Linux. The service will kill itself before it will let itself be run outside of a Microsoft-approved environment, and has its own apparent criteria for doing such. As to what those criteria are, I'm not sure, but I am suspicious of GFWL's responsibility for a lot of the physical crashing going on within the game due to connections between singleplayer crashes and my own internet sputtering during the past week. Yay for monopoly-minded programs.
